I can not wait an other day.I'm on Clomid 50mg. This is my first cycle.I've been having baaaaaaad cramps since cd22.I have no idea what it is.I'm on cd27 right now.I'm soooo nervous that I just want to have a little peak into my uterus to see what is going on LOL.Does anyone had cramps before found out about pregnancy?
I'm hoping for the best, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.
TIA

What can I do next?

I totally feel for you. I had very bad cramps with the clomid also. I was told they maybe a side affect of the drug along with all the other horrible ones with that drug!! hot flashes and mood swings. be patient. relax. are you on the premetrium yet?

Yep, I agree with everyone else...I also had cramping when I was on clomid...is is just part of it. My doctor explained all the side effects and it is your body reacting to the medicine. As a result I became pregnant with my first. Four years later we wanted another child, tried the same method...my body didn't respond and we decided to use additional medicine along with a procedure. As a result I became pregnant with the sextuplets. Fertility treatments are so interesting...when I was trying to get pregnant with my first, I didn't know anyone else in the same situation. I was embarrased to admit my problem and now so many women are coming forward...I think it is great! Good luck to you!

Cramping in the beginning of pregnancy (first 3 months) is perfectly normal. Your uterus is starting to grow and pulling on ligaments that havn't been used. If you are on cd27, walmart brand HPTs are very accurate and all I use (winkwink) and it is like $8 for 3 of them.....Also, you may want to go to a wonderful site called mymonthlycycles.com and track how your cycle is working. You might also want to go get a basil thermometer (not digital) and track your temps. If you are pregnant, then your temps will be going up...HTH

hello-

I also took Clomid for 2 months and had the most excrutiating pelvic pain I had ever had in my life. The Clomid was prescribed because I had unexplained infertility. The issue with me however was -- I was actually ovulating on my own because of this the Clomid, which is a drug used to force ovulating, was causing my ovaries to overstimulate. This was what was causing the horrible pain. They, my ovaries, are still extremely sensitive now when I do ovulate every month. I also did not recieve an ultra sound prior to starting the Clomid which is a must since it can cause cysts or make an already exhisting cyst bigger. I did end up having a cyst however we will never know if it was created by the Clomid or if it was just made worse by the Clomid. I'm hoping this helps you and not scares you to death.
Good Luck.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but both times I was pregnant and had horrible cramps. My doctor said that was pretty normal.

E., I don't want to get your hopes up, but with my first pregnancy I had really bad cramps that started much earlier than they would have with a normal cycle. I was taking fertility drugs, so I knew exactly where I was in my cycle. I was so positive that I was not pregnant that when I went to the doctor and they told me I was I was shocked!

I wish you the best of luck. The last two weeks of the cycle are the hardest, because all you can do is wait and see what happens.

I had cramps with some light spotting about 2 weeks before I could take the test to confirm I was pregnant. They say this can happen when implantation occurs. Good luck!

Good Morning E., before I became preggers years ago I had terrible cramping. The normal otc med's did nothing to relieve it. I don't know what cd27 is so my information is probably way off base. I had cramped badly since I first started my cycles at 13. The only thing I found that worked while I was young were heating pads on my tummy. Then I went to stay a few days with my Grandma, she made me Ginger tea. Regular hot tea with a few dashes of ginger mixed in tad bit of sugar. What it does is opens the vessels that are restricted with clots and allows them to pass or dilutes them. No more cramps.
After I became pregnant and had our first son, i never had cramps again.

Best of everything to you, you OB may have a better idea of whats going on. Cramping while in first trimester is normal, body is going through changes and rearranging things for the babies growth.
Always,

so if I remember right, not personally, but from hundreds of women we saw in the rei clinic. You get clomid at the start of your pregnancy to build up "few good" eggs. Than around cd14 or so you did the deed. Is this the right track? if so than that would be a week after conception, cramps could be normal for pregnancy, starting, or a run off of having so many formed cysyts. I hope for the best always when it comes for others, so i hope i hope. Our doctors even on clomid followed the girls closely. I know we liked to see 5 or 6 in each overy. grant it not all would release an egg and not all produce an egg but with so many the chances were always higher.

I had really bad cramps the week before I found out I was pregnant. I had all of the symptoms of getting ready to start my period but never did!

BTW I went thru fertility treatment as well and it worked for me (obviously!). Good luck! It's hard but try not to get discouraged if it doesn't happen the first time.

Clomid is not fun PERIOD! haha. I don't really remember much cramping though - I do remember the hot flashes. From what I've been told being on Clomid is like going thru menopause - pleasant huh? I'm no expert, but I wouldn't think the cramping would be anything to be alarmed about. Have you googled clomid on-line and found anything about cramping? It could just be a side effect. Good luck!!!! :)
