I already posted twice but unfortunately not many responses or advises and once that answer I am very thankfull but I do not see solution in your response.
I have a 10 months old baby, everybody is calling him GERBER baby he looks like that one.
He started child care before two weeks ago and he is misserable there and we are very unhappy.
He is a big boy and he loves to eat. He would not sleep if his little tummy is empty and it seems to us that he does not get enough because in past 10 months he was smily baby and in this past two weeks he cries a lot, he got diaper rash, he lost on weight and he is very fussy.
We are not used to that and we want our happy baby back.
We are looking for good child care that pay attention to baby needs and parents request and something that is near our home.
We live on 101 fwy and 7 ave. I work for University of Phoenix as Financial Counselor and I need something near my house that way I can pick him up and be on time to pick up my older boys from After Shool Program.
Anybody out there with good advise or know somebody better than our child care or know somebody who takes care in home, please please let us know....We are desperate to get our smily boy back.

What can I do next?

HI , I have been doing in home day care for 7 years. I started because I wanted to know that my little one was safe all day and at other places we visited i felt she would not get the attention and care she needed. I treat all the children I watch , as if they were my own.Even the children that have gone to school and are not here noe, I am still a very big part of their life. They are "my children". I would live to meet with you. Call me if you would like ###-###-####
I am at 67th Ave and the 101 . I have references if you would like them.

I know how you feel. I started my son in an in home daycare when he was six months... About two weeks into it, he was miserable, sleeping all the time, (well more then usual) took him to the doctors office they thought something was wrong with how he was growing, we did numerous tests because he would not keep on weight.. and finally Dr. G said to me "what have you done differently about four weeks ago" I said i started him in daycare. She said take him out. I went to the house and confronted the woman, and OMG! The lady was just giving him formula.. to save on baby food.. she had tons of my babys food just stored...

After that I have only used Day Care Centers, and after looking into tons of them, and trying out a few...I have stuck with Kindercare learning centers... I was afraid at first to put my son in a "center" but after the initial nervousness went away it was actually a relief. They write down everything, pottys, food, burps, bumps, everything!(and im sure it must be better now, that was seven years ago!) you can call, stop in, whenever, its awesome. i used the one at 25th ave and peoria, and one in scottsdale. There was a center at 35th ave and union hills, but it was a really old building and i didnt like that one or the staff...

Good luck!

I'm not sure if you've done this or not, but have you taken him to the doctor to make sure that he doesn't have an ear infection or anything else going on. The reason I say this is because if he is unhappy with the childcare care he should just be unhappy their, not all the time.
I don't have any info child care people/places for you, but you might check with the Better Buisness Bureau, Dept. Of Health Services or your family doctor for reccomendations. Most of all follow your insticts no matter where you take him.
Best of luck to you, I hope your get your little guy is happy again soon.

I would try and avoid in-home day care. I have heard way too many horror stories. I take my son to Valley Child Care, they have been in business for over 20 years, and so far I really like everyone that has been responsible for my son. They have cameras in all rooms, you can stop in, and call in to check on your little one as often as you want. there is one location at 51st ave and Union Hills, and I am pretty sure that there is a location closer to you.

My 3 year old son goes to Tots 2 Ten on 7th Street, just north of Thunderbird. He has been there since he was 9 months old. I was very pleased when he was an infant. They have recently changed owners so I know very little about the baby room, but other parents have been pleased. Look it up in the Yellow Pages on-line and see what you think. It isn't too far from the 101 and 7th Ave.
