Their is a MOPS group and also your kids local PTA is a good place to start meeting other mommies.

Welcome to the area! I live in Rockwall and have a 4 year old little boy and a 6 month old baby boy. I am always looking to meet new friends. I have a wonderful network of moms out here in Rockwall and we go to movies, dinner etc. as well as get together with the kids. I live in Greenville and have a 4 yr old and a 5 month old. I would love to get together sometime. I know maybe my 4 yr old and your 6 yr. old could play and we could be friends. I know it's hard moving some place and not knowning anyone.

Also, have you tried church? I know thats always a good start to get connections to a community. I know at ours we have events for moms and other things for couples and singles to do and it's a great place for the kids to meet new friends.
