I am looking for a moving company to move my family and my 4 bedroom house from Richardson Tx to Oklahoma City, Ok. Has anyone had a good experience with a moving company moving from one State to another?
Thanks much!

Mighty Movers ###-###-####. We have used them twice (no, we aren't nomads!:) They were really good both times.

Mighty Movers ###-###-#### is awesome! We used them to move here from out of state. We got in contact with Mighty Movers because some friends of ours used them too & loved them. They were wonderful. Its already stressful enough making the move; they seemed to understand that and made it sooo much easier and actually fun. What a relief!! You can ask for Brian (the owner) and tell him you got his info from A.. He'll work with you on the price as well...

I don't know of a good one but I know that Condor Moving in Arlington is HORRIBLE! Even the BBA is against them! They underquoted my sister by a couple thousand dollars and then told my sister to pay up or they would dump her things on the side of the interstate. The truck was two states from where she was when they called! They told her they "had to" rebox her things with their boxes at up to $25 a box!! Her things were misplaced and they broke alot of fragile items. We divided our family china and now her half is gone. :( She only gets 60 cents per pound of what they broke/misplaced. That will never replace what she lost.

We used North American to move to Dallas from Charlotte, NC. That was about 18 yrs ago though. We had no issues with them at all. It was a smooth experience.

When we moved to this house that we built 8 yrs ago, we used Mayflower and they were great. That move was only about 2 miles but they treated us as if it were cross country. Excellent service.

I don't know of a good moving conpany but wanted to warn you about Apple moving. When I moved two years ago I called around and got several quotes. Apple was by far the cheapest; so I double checked that they included everything in the quote with a call back and visit. The day of the move, many large items where suddenly not on the list and we had more boxes than they had marked. We had a print out of the quote so we had to mark every box with a marker and point out each thing as we went down the list. It took forever and we ended up having to move thinks ourselves to not pay over $200 more. Good Luck and God be with you.

Hi S.,
I'm a Realtor and I refer my clients to the move advocate www.moveadvocate.com. Fayette Webster is normally who I work with, and she will get multiple quotes from all the different moving companies and manage the move for you. She is paid by the movers, so it's a FREE service to you.

Good Luck!
