If you know of any other doctors that I didn't list please let me know about them.

*Please let me know what your experince with the Dr's, staff were and if they are sufficient what was your experince in the office and hospital. Were you able to record the birth of your baby? Do you feel they spent enough time with you? Answer all your concerns? Did you get good care? Does their office have all the equipment to do blood work? Ultrasound? What hospital do they deliver at?

And anything else you can think of. Thank you all so very much for your advice.

So What Happened?

I found Dr's Laurie, Allen, Laura Baum and Jennifer Cox does anyone know anything about these docs? I am going to try this office and see how it all goes. Thank you ladies for all your responses, everything I read is pretty much what other moms have told me, I just wanted to get more feedback and it really did help!

My OB/GYN is Dr. James Jew (pronounced Jo). His office is off of Gilbert, between Warner and Elliot. I started seeing him a few months before I became pregnant with my daughter (I'm now 26 weeks). He is great for you annual checkups as well is if you're pregnant. He takes plenty of time to answer all of my questions, his staff is very friendly, his office is very clean and nice, and he is on time. I also love the fact that he is a single doctor practice so you always get to see him...no strange docs or nurse practitioners that you've never met coming in to examine you.

Don't believe the bad things you may hear about Goodman Partridge. They have been around for over 30 years and have provided amazing care for many women, unfortuntaley you only hear from the few women who had bad experiences or women that did not have things go in their favor thru no fault of the docs. I've been seeing Dr. Goodman since I was 16, his practice has grown and they have added more docs but I've seen it get more convenient. they have onsite 3D/4D ultrasound and you get a dvd to take home, they have same day and saturday appts, they have five offices, and like 14 female doctors to choose from. The assupmtion that you will see a diffferent doc everytime is WRONG! You can specify which doc you want to see every appt and make your appts accordingly. Dr. Baum, Allen, and Cox are at the MErcy Gilbert office and they are very nice and caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Cox came in on her day off to deliver my friends baby. Dr. Mangum is at that office too. They take like every insurance you can think of, even ahcccs. The practice delivers at mercy gilbert, banner gateway, mountain vista, and chandler regional. I deliverd my son at chandler reg and it was ok, no complaints b/c I didn't know what to expect and had a good experience. My daughter was born with Dr. Nieves from goodman partridge at Mountain vista in mesa. I loved it!!! The delivery was so smooth and I got to stay in the Princess suite after she was born. The good thing about goodman parrtridge too is that you can meet all of the docs and get comfortable with them so that if your doctor isn't on call when you go into labor another doc from their practice will be (that you got to meet).
I've heard nothing but bad things about Valley Women, all you ever see is nurses or assistants plus I heard some women call it Valley women against women.
Sorry this has run long, I think you made a good choice with Dr. Baum, Cox, Allen.
Good Luck and Congrats!!!

You forgot to check the box at the bottom that said this is exclusive to the area in which you live, so this question is being asked to moms nationwide

I really like Dr. D. Eric Tutt. He delivers at Banner Gateway in Mesa and I liked it there too. He is right around the corner from the hospital, they do bloodwork and ultrasounds in the office, I never really felt like I ever had to wait very long at all at my appts., like at the Pediatricians. He is in an office with three other doctors, Dr.'s Beck, Tutt, Mcniel, and Layton, but you only see the your doctor unless for some reason he is out of town or something. The phone number is ###-###-####.

I was with Goodman and Partridge for a while when I was TTC and after I finally got pregnant. I did not stay with them. I never felt listened to. I ALWAYS had to wait a long time even when there was no other person in the waiting room. After I'd finally get back to a room I'd have to wait a long time there, too. I referred a friend there before I left their practice. She was unhappy as well, we both left at the same time. I have another friend who went there and had a VERY bad birth experience. She had a scheduled induction and NO ONE showed up for it. Not the doc who was scheduled to do it, or any other doc in the practice, despite the hospital calling their office several times. She and another friend both had their placentas left in after a c-section with their group. Not good.

I see Dr. Tamanaha and LOVE him. I never feel rushed with him, he takes the time to listen and is very easy going. I never feel as though I have been blown off or my concerns are ignored. They have ultrasound at his office but I have to go elsewhere for bloodwork. Same office park just a different building. When my first child was born we had video with no problem. I feel I get and received excellent care at the hospital and at his office. Dr. T is by far my favorite doctor

I went to Drs. Goodman & Partridge (the Chandler office) when I was pregnant with my son in 2005. The staff was nice, but my appointment was never on time, and once I was called in, I'd have to sit in the room even longer! I moved to Valley Women for Women in Gilbert, and couldn't have been happier. All the doctors and PA's are wonderful, they get you in at your scheduled appointment time, and the best part is that they have an on-site lab, so any labwork you may need can be done right after your appointment, with very little wait. I had to have alot of bloodwork done, and this made my life so much easier. The have the ultrasound equiptment, and did a 3D ultrasound too. I had babies at both the Chandler hospital and Mercy Gilbert. Mercy Gilbert was a great experience for me. Excellent nursing staff, and great discharge routine. In Chandler, I waited ALL DAY to be discharged and was finally free to leave at 7pm! I was told that this was due to the dr. who was on call (from Dr. Goodman & Partrige office, of course)!

I went to Contemporary Care For Women and loved them. I actually was at their Tempe office during both my pregnancies (Dr. Alperin's my doctor) and for yearly stuff now, but Dr. Damore was the on-call doctor for the practice and ended up delivering my daughter (at Banner Desert). She was very nice. We hsd a video camera in the room and no one cared. I can't say enough good things about their practice in general...I've never minded going, and that says a LOT about them in my eyes! :) Good luck with your choice!

Just want to try to help you clarify something... Lisa Hollar and Heather Mangam used to be together at East Valley OBGYN. Heather Mangum took a break from practicing a little over a year ago and now she came back with the Goodman and Partridge group. So, where you have "Hollar Mangam PC" above East Valley OBGYN I think that is wrong. I used to go to Heather Mangum and I liked her, I went through 2 miscarriages with her (one D&C) and she was great. I also had my son with her, although she wasn't the dr to deliver him. I switched over to Lori Carrillo when Mangum quit for a while and love her. Dr Carrillo was the one to tell me that Mangum started back up with Goodman and Partridge and she told me that you never know which dr you will see when you go in, just one of them in the practice.
I only saw Lisa Hollar once or twice when I needed to go in and Heather Mangum wasn't there, and she was fine, I really can't say anything amazing or really negitive, because I don't have much experience with her personally. I do know that when Mangum was there they did draw blood there in the office, but did not have an ultrasound machine. I was happy with the nurses and staff there at East Valley OBGYN, but I'm not sure which ones stayed after Heather Mangum left, but I was happy with all of them.
Good luck, hope this was at least a little helpful!

Dr Heather Magnam is a very nice doctor, she is kind hearted, non-judgmental, gentle, and genuinely loves her job. She made me feel at ease the entire time and performed a C-section on me that went very well. She was great.
