Husband Farts While We Kiss?

My husband is a funny person. Always cracking jokes and it makes things fun however sometimes he takes it too far or just doesn't know when to stop. When I kissed him he farted on purpose. It bothered me, or am i just being silly? does anyone else's husband do this? If so does it bother you?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I think he has done it once before but I cant be certain. I will keep this in the records and if it happens again let him know I dont think its right. I did make sure I mentioned something in a joking way like "Ew did you just fart while we kissed?" and I kinda gave him an unpleased look. Hoping he got the message. I did marry him for his joking ways and carelessness however like most said: There is a time and place for everything. I am usually ok about him farting BUT He doesnt fart while everyone is eating so he obviously has some control. ;)

the farting question arose recently and i'll answer this one the same way. i think married couples should have some latitude on the occasional eruption, but it's a privilege that should never be abused.
farts stink. they're not romantic. they can be funny as hell under certain circumstances, but not all by any means. and kissing is not a circumstance under which i'd be amused in any way.
i think it's disrespectful and he should knock it right the hell off.

My hubby does not do that and I would not consider it funny. There is a time and a place for everything; while you're kissing is not the appropriate time for farting!

If my husband did that on purpose when he kissed me, I'd walk away and not kiss him for the rest of the day, and tell him he can do without kisses for disrespecting me like that.

Why WOULDN'T it bother you? SHOW him where you draw the line. If you don't, who will?

Ya know, I think I have a really good sense of humor -- I laugh at almost anything -- but that is not funny at all, and would be a big turnoff.

Hopefully he won't make a habit of it. If he does it again, tell him to please save his farts for less intimate moments.

He probably had to fart and was holding it in and for whatever reason thought it would be funny to let it go.

No you're not being silly if he absolutely did it on purpose. He's either trying to annoy you (it's working!) or he's not able to deal with intimacy without being a goofball. If he does it again, I'd tell him outright just so he knows you think it's gross or inappropriate, and then I'd stop kissing him (and doing, ummm, other things) until it stops.

We are pretty liberal about expressing gas in our home, but I don't think either one of us has farted while kissing. As mentioned by other mamas, give him once, but if he thinks it's funny make it clear that it's not. I can envision myself saying, "Dude! Gross!" and walking away.

First time funny, second time amazingly annoying. My husband's never done this, but I'd not enjoy it if it became a running gag. And I'd make sure he KNEW I didn't enjoy it.

NO! My husband farts at the dinner table and we have gotten into more than one "discussion" about it. He says he doesn't mean too, which I get he's not setting out at the beginning of the meal to do it, but a little self control would be nice. Ew. I am seriously grossed out and doing it while kissing would not sit any better with me. If he does it again it warrants a conversation for sure.

it would bother M. enough to let him know not to do it again and then i'd call him in the kitchen for a kiss and spray him with the hose thingy. if it was every time even after you asked him not to I'd be annoyed, once, tell him not to and let it go oh and get him back=)

Nope - I don't find rude funny. We've been together 25 years and we don't do that on purpose in front of each other ever -- who would want to be around that? My kids think gas is funny, but we've both outgrown that.

As stupid as this may sound....it depends on how long you've been with your husband, how well you know him and how you normally handle awkward goofball situations with him. You said he's funny, and I'm guessing you married him because he could make you laugh. Sometimes guys don't get that farting isn't funny. Not to us girls anyway. Let him be "funny" once and explain that it was not funny and you don't like that. You don't have to get all serious, because that would just turn out to be a stupid fight. In the moment, of laughter and grossness, stop kissing him, crinkle your nose and say "that was gross, I'm never kissing you again...ewwwww" and run.
Peek your head back in and say, seriously, that was gross! My husband got the hint and his was an accident...lol.
