Well you're pregnant and can't really take any medications but you are able to take tylenol. Hope this helps. It worked for me.

Go to Youtube and search "EFT headache." I absolutely love this technique. Find s/o really trained in it, not just a quick upload. I am not kidding. This simple, fast, effective, FREE, safe and non-medicated, non-invasive technique cures so many pains. I've taught it to my kids.

I've suffered from bed-ridden, vommiting, block out all sights, sounds, lights type of migraines for a very long time, and this instantly reduces them to a point that I rarely take meds anymore.

Believe me, it really works :)

With BOTH my pregnancies, I had MEGA morning sickness and migraines.
The only thing that helped me, and was per my OB/GYN's suggestion, was Acupuncture.
Just one half hour session, was all it took. And it was all gone.
It is very relaxing and does not hurt.

I learned to treat a series of bad headaches in my 20's with ear pulls. I would lie for 10-20 minutes in a comfortable position and pull, knead, press, and fold my ears, especially focusing on any areas that seemed tender.

I have since showed dozens of people how to do this, and have seldom met a headache that can resist this treatment (migraines don't yield, though). And it's wonderful to take a load off and raise your feet for a little while, too.

Here's another one: Peppermint oil! LOVE it. I use the essential oil from doTerra. Rub a couple of drops on your forehead and behind your ears. Lay down and close your eyes for a minute, and it is very soothing. Also helps with nausea.
You could use it along with the massage tips given on here, and i'm sure it would work great. Tylenol is fine too, but I always look for something more natural. You just want to be careful that you don't find that you have to take Tylenol everyday. Taking it daily can affect your liver. But it's okay every once in a while.

If nothing else works - I just thought I'd add one thing. Talk to your doctor about this first, but according to a good friend of mine who is pregnant, there have been recent changes in the protocol for pain relievers during pregnancy. Her doctor has advised her that she can take ibuprofen up until a certain point of the pregnancy - I believe it was around the 1st part of the 3rd trimester. We were travelling together in the beginning of August. She was taking some ibuprofen on that trip, but nearing the end of when she would be able to & she is due in the middle of Nov. So talk to your doctor & see if he/she has heard of this change & if he/she is comfortable with it. It may give you one more option for dealing with your headaches.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist how mush Tylenol you can take safely.

Keep hydrated. Drink lots of water, juice, milk, decaf (green) tea. Many headaches are a symptom of dehydration!

Lay down in a quiet, dark room and try to take a nap. Relax. Get a cold pack for your forehead to constrict the blood vessels.

Congratulations! Good luck, and God Bless!

Tylenol products are safe while pregnant, but I would call the pharmacist (you can usually get an answer faster than from the doctor), if there is anything you can't take with your RX. I don't know anything about that medication, and you don't want to mix if you aren't supposed to.

Just curious, why can't you take Tylenol? That's generally regarded safe during pregnancy.

You might want to ask your doctor what kind of headache your medication causes. If it's a vasoconstriction headache, caffeine will help. I used to have throbbing headaches, and one sip of Dr. Pepper cured them! I rarely drink caffeine otherwise, which probably helped it be more effective.

I had a couple of those when I was prego. This is what my midwife told me...

Take tylenol. Even if the first dose doesn't work, take it again when it is time (prob. 4 hrs later). Sometimes you need it in your system a while before it works. I did not know this.

Massage is helpful. Even a neck/back rub by your hubby can work.

Ice on the back of the neck. I never thought this would feel good when I had headaches..but it felt WONDERFUL!

Caffiene actually helps too. One can of coke or one cup of coffee won't hurt the baby, don't worry.

Stay hydrated - drink lots of water. Simple dehydration can cause headaches too.

Also...take a nap. Sleep works wonders.

Hope you feel better soon!

Tylenol is safe during pregnancy. It is likely to be a side-effect of the Zofran, for me it didn't last very long, I got a headache with my first few doses, then it stopped.
My friend, a pharmacist, told me to take the regular dose of Tylenol and basically to follow the directions on the bottle. You can always call your doctor or pharmacist to find out the answers to questions like this.
Good luck!
