My 5 month old will only take a Soothie paci and will be starting daycare soon. How can I put his name on that thing? I don't want to write on it b/c he chews on the whole thing. I have tried Mabels Labels but they don't stick to it. I don't really want it attached to him b/c he doesn't use it that often and I don't want them sticking it in his mouth all day. Any ideas???

What can I do next?

If you get a paci holder with the velcro you can put it through the holes of the soothie. Then just write his name on it Target sells some holders for the diaper bag that will work as well. I also thought maybe be could string some ribbon and sew the ends together then put his name on it. Best of luck.

We just cut a notch out of ours. Each child at daycare had a different cut. We put a v in ours while my sister in law that had a daughter the same age cut the corners off hers. It worked great.

Our son will only take Soothie Paci too! I buy the cute plush (mini stuffed animal)pacifier clips at CARTER's (theres one at the Outlet in Allen and also one over by Stonebriar Mall, where Target/GattiTown is). You can bend the velcro end together and put it through the Soothie hole then velcro it (or just tie it off to make sure it stays!) Then we write our little guy's name in a Sharpie marker on the ribbon that attaches the plush clip to the Soothie!

I've also tried the hard plastic paci clip from Target that is made specifically for the Soothie-- but the paci NEVER stays in, falls off into the floor, etc. Sooo we just stock up on the cute plush clips!

As an alternative, you could purchase some of the Wubanubs-- the tiny stuffed animals that have the Soothie actually attached to them-- I've found them at The Sample House (also over by Stonebriar mall-- next to Carters actually!) or at USA Baby. You can "Google" Wubanub pacifier holder and it will come up w/their website and locations to purchase them.

Good Luck!

I see you've tried Mabels labels that didn't work for you.

Have you tried Lovable Labels http://www.kiddosdelight.lovablelabels.ca/

They have all sort of labels that stick on cups that are microwavable; dishwasher proof. They have something called a Press and Stick Clothing Dot that I believe would suit your need. It's sturdy and sticks well! Many moms use these for other products besides clothes.

Good luck!
