How to Clean a Microfiber Couch?

I bought a microfiber couch because I heard they were really easy to clean. I have had no trouble keeping stains away by cleaing them up quicly with just some clod water but now I have all sorts of dark water rings that look really bad. How do I get rid of them, and how should I be cleaning up spills?

What can I do next?

We had the same problem with a microfiber sofa/love seat we purchased. I didn't know that they came with specific cleaning instructions (usually a letter than indicates water only, soap water, steam cleaning, etc).

If you know the manufacturer, I'd call and ask what they recommend or get on their website.

I love my sofas, but I ruined them in the process of trying to save them.

I use shaklee cleaners for everything. I recently tried the basic G on the spots on my microfiber couch, and it worked really well. It got the "water spots" off as well as ahem some marker marks that magically appeared on it.

We just use water and a wash cloth. It leaves a water mark until it dries then it goes away. Our couches are a little worse for the ware (than other types of couches - fiber, leather, etc) but I love them!

Our covers also come off the couches so we wash them as needed.

warm water, original dawn dish soap, white vinegar a wash cloth and a little elbow grease. I have gotten almost everything out of my couch from old milk stains,

I have found from my hand me down microfiber couch which was stained when I got it that Woolite carpet and upholstery cleaner in a blue spray can works FANTASTIC! Spray it on, rub the spot with a damp..not wet..just damp cloth and wipe off, let dry and vacuum and wala! Good as new! Hope this helps you out..it worked for me! Good Luck.

I see a few other recommendations to use upholstery cleaner and carpet cleaner, just be careful with those. They might change the color of your fabric. I would start with the least amount of any cleaners possible and start with the least harsh and see how much cleaner you really need before tackling the job. Start with an inconspicuos area of your couch!

I use warm soapy water and a wash cloth about twice a year. It takes me a few hours and a little elbow grease but I just use dish soap and it works great. By the time I'm done and the couch dries it looks brand new!
Good luck!

we use Resolve on our microfiber couch. so far it's worked on grape juice, coffee, spit-up, vomit, milk, and about anything else that myself or my girls could possibly spill on it. oh, and it also got rid of the stain and smell from my oldest wetting her pants on the couch. :)
