Because children love to put things in their mouths and their mouth up to things, I'd only use Neways' Radicate. It comes in a concentrate form so you dilute it according to the directions and you have an instant safe anti-bacterial, anti-odor cleaner! Very cost effective and very handy for cleaning any hard surface...and gets odor's out of everything (carpet to plastics to mouth) it's also great for getting off pesticied and herbacides off fruits & vegies, good for cutting boards, etc, etc. You can buy it from my web site for wholesale: www.1000moms1000dollars.com/4health

If you have a Gymini with the lights and sounds be sure to take out the electrical board before you wash it. Other than that, just like the others said, it can unsnap from the crossbars and go in the washer.

i put the mat in the washer as well. for the toys, i put them in a pillow case (with a zipper) and throw them in the washer too. i hang the mat and toys up to dry.

You can put it in the washing machine. Disconnect the two 'crossbars' by unsnapping them from the corners, and the mat can go in the washing machine. To wash the crossbars, I've just put one end in the sink and washed it with soapy water, then flipped it around and washed the other end. Rinse it really well, though, since the little ones love to chew on them. I washed the little hanging toys and animals in the sink, too. I've had no problem putting the mat in the dryer. To dry the crossbars and toys, I just put them in the sun. Good luck!
