My first pregnancy went wonderful and had a healthy baby girl who is now 2. Im still young and me and my hubby decided to have another one and i miscarried that baby on Dec 1st 2010. I couldnt believe it i was 6wks along. I stopped bleeding on Dec.10th no real heavy bleeding just the normal bleeding. I went back to the doc. Dec.8th and everything was out and my levels done dropped to 48. Me and my husband have been having unprotected sex since i quit bleeding on the 10th. I do believe i ovulated over a week ago. And i have a bloated stomach and eating like crazy. So i just wanted to take a pregnancy test to see if it would come up negative which it should of. So i bought one and i took it tonight at 6pm and it came up positive. Could i be pregnant or is it possible i might still have some hcg left. You would think it would all be out since that was the 8th it was 48 and on the 1st it was 1500. Im going to call my doc. tomorrow to see what she thinks and probably get a blood test done.

What can I do next?

I miscarried on January 9, 1992. I can't remember now exactly when I got pregnant but my son was born on December 22 of that year--and he was two weeks late. I was worried that it might be too soon but my pregnancy went well and my son has always been healthy.

first of all I am very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it can be to have a miscarriage. For me I had a miscarriage like you at about 5 or 6 weeks....not too sure how far along I was. after a week of bleeding me and my hubby went right back to unprotected sex. About 3 weeks after the bleeding I took another pregnancy test which can back positive! I made an appointment to see my doctor at the 12 week mark. When I told him I thought I was about 12 weeks he said he doubted I was that far long cause that would mean I got pregnant again 2 weeks after I miscarried so he did an ultra sound and sure enough there was a little 12 week baby in there :) I'm 24 weeks now and baby is doing great. So yeah you probably are pregnant again. Congrats!

well I don't think there is a time limit of when you can get pregnant after a miscarriage but I know that they recommend you wait at least three months to try again to give your body time to heal. Not to say that it doesn't happen. After my miscarriage I went through so many different emotions and I think you want to get pregnant right away again to fill that hole. Your mind can play some really mean tricks on you sometimes. I think calling your Dr. is a good idea but they might tell you that it is too soon to tell so just be prepared to hurry up and wait.

You can get pregnant pretty quick after a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage at 5 months and was pregnant again 2 months later. I think if you ovulate you can get pregnant. Wait a week or so and test again. In the mean time I would treat yourself as though you are pregnant.

Good luck and hopefully congrats on #2.

I lost my first at 6 weeks as well. Three weeks after the m/c I had stopped bleeding and my husband and I had sex for the first time. With this one time I ended up pregnant again and now have a healthy little boy who is 5 months old. I can really say it was a one shot wonder. :) I believe that the m/c taught me a lesson and made me a stronger person. The m/c also made my marriage stronger with my husband and best friend.

Sorry for your loss and I wish you the very best and a happy healthy baby!

First of all, I'm very sorry for your loss. I miscarried in Nov '03 then again in March '04. I didn't even get my period back before getting pregnant again in April and went on to have a very healthy little girl, now 6.
I'm not sure how long the pregnancy hormones stay in our systems after a miscarriage, but I know from experience that you can get pregnant very soon afterwards! Good luck! :-)

I miscarried September 2010 and was pregnant again the next month. I never did get a next regular period. I am now 15 weeks along, I am due June 30th. I tracked my ovualtion, and although we planned on waiting 1 cycle, it just didn't happen that way.
Take a test and find out so you can relax! :) good luck!

For me, it was the very next month, although I had intended to wait for my body to heal..I just didn't think it would happen after 18 months of trying and 2 miscarriages.

Best to you and sorry for your loss...
