How Do You Get the Smell of Burnt Popcorn Out of a Microwave?

My sweet helpful little boy decided to make popcorn for us when we were going to watch a movie. I did not know this and found the microwave on, with 29:23 minutes remaining and a very black bag of popcorn in the microwave. I was able to get the smell out of the house but not the microwave. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

What can I do next?

Try the other post and if it seems to not go away, the product I use to get out all smells is a product called Sol-u-Mel. I use this stuff for soo many things, i am never without it. I have four bottles. Can you tell I love it.

Along the same lines as the previous posters, I would get a large bowl, fill in 1/3 full with water, slice up a lemon and toss it in with the water, microwave for 5 minutes to start. If the smell is still in there, try again for another 4 minutes with another cut up lemon and refill the water (some will have evaporated). Wipe dry afterwards and leave it open.

Good luck!!

Boil water in it, then leave it open. If that still doesn't work, try a baking soda/water scrub.

I would try boiling water with some vinegar in it.
