Hi, My son is only 22 months but I am thinking ahead...I want him to have the pre-school experience and opportunity becasue I know of the great benefits and how much it will prepare him for his school years. I had to have him in daycare from 3 months old to 15 months old because I was working full time.It was an awesome christian preschool which I prefer but had a hefty $160 a week price. I have been SAHM now scince Jan of this year and love it. We plan to get pregnant again within the next year. so my question is how do you put your child in a nice preschool while being a stay at home mom and i'll have another baby by then too. I don't earn any income right now and DO NOT want to go back to work until my youngest is at least in Kindergarten. I live in NW Vegas and the preschools all seem to be pretty expensive. Are there any other options. What age should he start? I have also entertained the idea of homeschool but I feel that it would be very difficult with having my 2nd child and trying to school my son. Also not sure if I have the patience or what it takes to be a homeschooler. How do you ladies do it? What have you tried? How do you balance new baby and preschool financially and timewise?
THANKYOU for any ideas :)

What can I do next?

Me too! I just started my 3 year old in Trinity United Methodist for 3 half days a week. The cost is only $150 a month. Nice school. It is on Charleston and Jones. I wanted him to be with other kids before we forked over the big bucks for Challenger. Good Luck!

The best bet is UNLV. Its a drive, but worth the low price and great schooling. You can go to the UNLV website and look for childcare/preschool. There is a waiting list, but usually you would have to just wait a semester. Very inexpensive, but the education your child receives is fabulous.

Hi S.. I just moved here with my 2 children and I have a daughter who is preschool age. She attended a Christian preschool run by a church back East and we also loved it. I also tried to find the same here with no luck because of price. I have run into the same problems as you, but I did find a facility in Summerlin that has a 2 in half hour preschool for 2.5 to 3 year olds. They offer 2,3 and 5 days I think. My daughter will be going 3 days for 247.00 a month. That is REALLY reasonable for Vegas! It is called Lit'l Scholar Academy and the website is litlscholar.com. Hope this helps!

not that this is really an answer but I am in the same boat. I would love for my daughter to get some preschool or at least socializing experience but the cost her in Vegas is outrageous. If you do find something repost, but I am unable to find anything affordable and that isnt just "daycare" or that doesnt allow for a part timer a couple times a week. I am looking into prescool curriculum online and am going to try to teach her here, and then just probley do my gym or gymboree or something like that to help get her social skills up. She has a huge space cushion issue that I want to fix before kindergarten!!
