I have never had to go thru choosing a city for my family to live in so I am not sure how to go about it. A family member is moving out of state and was wanting to help with the search for them. They are getting ready to have their first child so school districts are important for them as well, but like i said I don't even know how you determine what school districts to choose from and know that they are good school districts?

Any suggestions?

Also this move is for a job relocation so does anyone know about Blue Ash, Ohio? It is near Cincinnati?

Thanks

What can I do next?

Blue Ash is very close to Cincinnati and it is fantastic - great community, outstanding schools (Sycamore). Easy access to highways and centrally located. I lived in the Cincinnati area for 27 years before moving to Chicago. The Sycamore school district is one of the best, if not the top public school in Cincinnati. It is also one of the more expensive areas in the Cincinnati area as it is a more affluent area.

Feel free to PM me if you have other questions. I still go back to Cincy like twice a year and have friends who live near/work in Blue Ash.

Do some googling you can find out just about anything.
Before we bought our home we lived in a different town we chose that town by looking at the schools rating, population (we wanted to live in a small town), crime rate, and still close enough to family that they could help us if needed.

Since the move is as a result of an employment change, I would mark the location of the new job and draw a circle on the map on how far you are willing to commute to work. You could ask the HR department where some of the people who work there live. Then you could search for the school districts located in the area you are interested in and look at the real estate markets in those areas.

I like to see greatschools.org to see the scores of schools, it seems that Blue Ash has a very good public Elementary school.
