How Do We Stop the Intrusive Mamapedia Advertisements with Sound?

OK, it was really easy to ignore all the new Mamapedia advertising. No biggie. Don't look, don't read, don't pay attention.

But now they have added sound??? And when I tried to click the off button, the entire add popped up very loud. I am usually already listening to music, or the news, or kids, I don't need Mamapedia blasting away at me.

Except for turning the volume down on my computer, are there any other options?

Sometimes I'd prefer to go back to Mamasource....;)

I use Firefox and Nicole, your link worked the first time.....no more ads with obnoxious sounds :)

Thanks, I almost announced I was never coming back.

There's advertising? What internet browser do you use? If you use firefox or chrome you can install an extension called Ad Block Plus. It makes it so you don't see any of it. The page is clean and annoyance free. I wouldn't go online without it!

For Chrome users:
http://adblockplus.org/en/chrome

For Firefox users:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

Sorry Internet Explorer users. =(

Ad blocker. They have a version for every platform. I see nothing. :)

I do not get the pop ups and certainly no sound, I keep the volume off at all times on my computer unless there is something I want to hear.

I have been on a game site for over 10 years and have not once ever played a game on thee with any of the sounds!!!

I'd send them feedback about the specific ad. I have not seen this yet. I keep an alert window open for work and can't turn down ads.
