I just discovered a crayon in my dryer. How do I get the melted crayon off?

Crayola has their own website which is VERY helpful. It has suggestions on how to get crayon out of anything. :)
try putting ice on it. it will harden it and then you should be able to just scrape it off.
This happened to me a few years back- I think I used a magic eraser, the rough side of a sponge and a LOT of elbow grease! U could also try warming up the crayon with a hair dryer, then wipe it off? Good luck!
From someone who ran a laundry mat for three years. I know the pain. First scrape what you can out. Try not to use metal can damage the coating in the walls of the dryer. Plastic knife or fork. I loved to use goo gone. But if no goo gone, wd40 will work. Sometimes alot of elbow grease. It may leave a oily residue in the dryer so run a load of old towels through before putting anything good in there. Hope this helps.
Saturate a rag with WD-40 and wipe the spots, then wash the area with a soapy rag and wipe with a clean wet rag. Just make sure all the WD-40 and soap residue is gone.
FYI--If you a crayon is left in a pocket and goes thru the washer/dryer use WD-40 on the spots on the clothes. Spray the spots, rub in laundry soap, let set for a few mins and wash clothes on the hottest setting the fabric will take. After washing look at clothes BEFORE you dry again. If there are stains still repeat process. You will have to wash clothes a few times in laundry soap to remove the WD-40 smell. This does work, my granddaughter left a red crayon in the pocket of her WHITE shirt. What a surprise her mom got when she opened the dryer that had a load of all white clothes to see red all over them. She was going to throw all of them away until I told her to bring them over and I'd work on them. EVERYTHING but a tiny spot on a bra came out.

I have had this happen once or twice.
If you WET a dryer sheet and scrub, it will come up. It might take a little bit of muscles, but it works wonders.
