Ask for recommendations from friends or neighbors. Ask what they like about the doctor, the staff, the office. Ask if there is anything that they would change. After a name comes up more than once you just have to gamble on it. Make an appointment. If you like the doctor, think he/she is professional and adept, like his/her personality and the staff, then you've got a new doctor!

Good Luck!

My current OB/GYN was recommended to me by my previous OB/GYN. I absolutely love my dr, his staff is wonderful and he is very caring. He never makes you feel rushed and always takes the time to sit with you and visit a little so you can remember the questions you may have had. I'm not sure what area you're looking in but if you live in the Crowley/Burleson area and/or Huguley Hospital is a convenient location then I'd definitely recommend Dr. Richard Ondrizek ###-###-####. I promise you will not be dissapointed (especially if you are pregnant or thinking/trying to get pregnant).

It can depend on whether or not you want to have children. My most recent choice for my ob/gyn came from recommendations from friends and family, a desire to have a female doctor, and also have a dr who had a significant practice that didn't involve delivering babies because I'm out of that arena.

I asked my PCP who was pregnant at the time. Since then that OB/GYN has relocated. He recommended my new one. The new one delivered my old ones grandkids so I figured she was good and after using her for a few years, I know she is awesome. I use Dr. Beverly Wood in the HEB area.
