How Can I Have a BOY?

Just out of curiosity I did my research and read all of the “ins and outs” of trying to conceive the sex of your choice from positions to the acidity and alkalinity of your internal balance to the Chinese birth calendar. We had our daughter in 2004 and we just found out yesterday that we are pregnant with a boy (yeah!). I think that it’s all luck of the draw since we had sex both times on the day that I ovulated, in the same position and pretty much at the same time in the morning. Good luck to you and I hope that God will bless you with a boy next time around.

p.s. Oh, and by the way; the Chinese Birth Calendar said that our little boy was supposed to be a girl.

Other than a very expensive IVF procedure...you would even spend more money for the genetic typing.

Have you seen this product? They say it's 96% effective if used correctly.

Hi! There are lots of tips using the Shettles method (time of conception, position, diet, etc.). You can find this info easily through Google without buying into any of those "services". In addition, there is an ancient Chinese Prediction calendar. The statistics for this, however, are skewed becuase Westerners go by the Gregorian Calendar rather than lunar months and many sites don't convert the difference. Some say this has less than 50% accuracy, BUT if you are mindful of the calenar differences, the accuracy bumps to 80% and more. There is a book called "How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby". We used it as well as an ovulation monitor. I also agree with Lora. "Deep" and "doggie style" worked for us. (and some of our friends. Good luck!

Well little mama you should feel blessed you have three girls already! However, there are no tricks or old tried and true methods to getting a boy. It's all about your husband and what he produces. So cross your fingers for a y chromosome and good luck!

I found out about the Shettles method on babyhopes.com. It tells you the exact days to "try" based on the date of your last period and how many days apart your cycle usueally is. You can print out an ovulation calendar for up to 6 months. It will tell you optimum days to do it based on the gender you are trying for. I have no idea if this actually works becasue I didn't find it until after I already had my son. We are hoping for a girl next time, so we'll be useing this method and we'll see what happens.

We had 2 girls and really wanted a boy as well. we checked out the Chinese Chart at www.chinagold.com. Just for fun we used our girls first and it was correct that both of them would be girls so then we input my info again chose a boy and it told us when to start tring :)My dh thought I was nuts and still wanted to wait a few more months to start tring but I convinced him on my birthday (the month needed for a boy) :)lol to have unprotected sex just this one time and I would not bother him again about timing :) Well, guess what, we had a boy ;) I know its not a sure think but it worked and I know a lot of other people it worked for as well.

Adoption or possibly a very expensive in vitro fertilization process. Seems that's your only choice for definitely getting a boy. At least scientifically. And I don't know if the second one is even possible. If I were you, I'd seriously consider adoption or just pray a lot. Most of what is available overseas for adoption is boys because for some reason everyone seems to want girls and they go very fast. It may be the same in America, I'm not sure.

"How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby" is cheap and 90% effective for boys. I have a friend who it worked for. We used it for a girl, which is only 80% effective. We have yet to find out if it worked. Plus, as a Christian, there are no objectable elements that I recall. GL! If nothing else, have fun trying!

It is luck basically. There is no 100% way to have a boy regardless of these other responses. If there were, then millions of parents would be having the boys or girls they so desired after having the other sex child already. Unfortunately it is all about genetics and has more to do with your husband and his genes then yours. There is no magic way to have a boy, just pray. You can get all into the cell manipulation stuff they have but it is super expensive and still has no guarantees. The best way is possibly adopt if you are set on having a boy and then you are also giving a baby that is in need a great family.

If you do IVF you are able to choose the sex. However, it is an expensive process. Other than that, I don't think there is any way to guarantee the sex of a child. Good luck!

I think that it is mostly just luck and timing. There is a Chinese gender predictor calender. It is said that the month you conceive and your age can predict the sex. It was correct with all 3 of mine. You can try that. :)
