My daughter spilled hot chocolate all over a brand new sweatshirt. I have only tried spray and wash several times. I have never dried the sweatshirt. It will not come out. I am looking for any kind of suggestions.

OXYCLEAN, OXYCLEAN! Its amazing! I have had dried on week old chocolate come out of a white shirt. It takes a lot of soaking, but spray it on and then by the powder stuff and add to water and let it sit. I repeat over and over, and touch it off with a little bleach pen - it has gotten every stain out!

Zout - not Shout - works the best and if you add Oxyclean you boost the performance somewhat

I have had great luck with the spray'n wash stain stick (green lid with red writing.) I have never had a stain remain, even those annoying small grease stains on darker shirts. Be sure and wet the spot liberally, rub well with the stick and then let it wait for a bit. Wash as usual.

Try cutting open a Tide stick and pouring it into a small tub of water and letting it soak in it.

I use a bar soap that is 100% coconut, but you can get some Zote or Fels Naphtha at the store. Wet the garment, rub on some soap and rub the garment at the stain. Rinse and repeat is necessary. It is a little elbow grease with the rubbing, but that soap really takes out a lot of stains.

put it in a basin of water and "biz", rub it every once in a while and let it soak until the stain is out. Sometimes takes a day or two.

I do not use anything but good old fashioned Dawn Liquid Dish Soap. It's better than any "laundry product" out there for stains. It works wonders on grease spots on clothes, and pretty much any other stain (chocolate, tomato, etc...). I squirt it right on the stain and rub it in. Let it sit for a minute before laundering. Try it...I'm sure it will work. Does for me every time! Good luck!

One thing I have had luck with is Dawn dish soap. Sometimes the cheaper soaps or other brands dont work as well, but Dawn is usually pretty good at getting tough, food based stains out!

I don't know if it will work or not but I use Zout on all my stains. It is amazing. It took dry blood out of white shorts the other day! Good luck!

This might sound a little crazy. I keep Palmolive antibacterial(must say antibacterial) dish soap around. I then us it for stains only.
I put it straight on the stain (this includes blood that is dry) then rub it in... Then put it in water to soak anywhere from a day to a week depending on what the stain is.... and then wash as normal.... (I do not rinse it out) and whatever it was disappears.... Hope this helps.
