I just recently had my second c-section on February 16th. Everything was going well and I was feeling great. However, in the last few days I started to have this horiible pressure whenever I have to pee, have a bowel movement, or pass gas. It feels like someone is inside my stomach pressing down really h*** o* the rectal area.
Has anyone felt this way after a c-section or heard of this ? It is so bad sometimes that I can not even urinate. I don't know if it is from the c section or a symptom of having recently been pregnant.
If you know anything about this or what I can do. Please let me know. Thanks so much! When I see my obgyn in a few weeks I will ask her, but I was hoping to get some answers sooner. Thanks.
Don't wait, see a doctor now instead of waiting. Usually you just keep getting better, this sounds like something that the doctor needs to know.
My OB told me if I had ANY trouble urinating, to come in right away. I would go in as soon as you can.
Don't wait a few weeks, call you ob in the next day or so. I had trouble urinating right after my second c-section (this went on for several days and the hospital nurse had to use a catheter which was unpleasant). I also ended up with the c-section getting infected and going back in the hospital about 2 weeks after my c-section. So call at a reasonable hour or during office hours if you can, but check with you doctor sooner rather than later.
My friend's wound got infected a few days after, but it looked fine and healed on the outside so the OB said nothing was wrong. It went horribly wrong! Get it checked out and don't take no for an answer! You know your body and since this isn't your first c-section you definitely know there is something not right. And don't wait a few more weeks.
I would go to see your doctor sooner. After my second c-section, I would find myself in terrible pain, not like yours, mine was whenever my lower stomach muscles would contract, it would really hurt. It turned out that my uterus became attached to the wall of my abdomin and my bladder. I had to have surgery to detach my uterus from my abdomin but the doctor did not feel good about detaching my bladder all the way from my uterus. After the surgery, I felt 100% better.
Something is very wrong with your body right now. I went on to have a third c-section and that one went well and I healed well without any complications. It will be important to see your doctor sooner than later in my opinion.
Let me premise this by saying, I am not a doctor so I can only give my lay opinion. But, your symptoms do not sound normal at all. Any kind of extreme discomfort like you described, warrants a call and trip to the doctor - immediately. If the doctor is dismissive I would get another doctor's opinion.
When they take your uterus out during the cesarean... you internal organs loose their cohesive pattern and plop around in disarray. You've had this done twice... so the mixing up of internal organ placement is ever more pronounced.
Do you have a fever? There are so many hidden complications with cesareans, I'd not wait the few weeks but go right away.
I've had an ovarian tumor removed, a c section and a hysterectomy (just a little background on letting you know that I have been opened up enough to feel like I was a chicken getting stuffed). The pressure can be any number of things like the ladies said. I felt that way and in my particular case I was told I had a tipped uterus at one point. I also had a number of bladder infections (particularly after my hysterectomy most recently) and was also told those tissues are becoming scars are still in recovery for awhile and those hurt. This from what I can tell is very recent and I would imagine you might have been on some form of painkiller for a little bit and are now off of it which can accentuate it. But really it has only been about three weeks and all sorts of things can happen. Since I am not a doctor I can only urge you to get to your doctor as fast as possible, you do not have to live in pain.
I had my 3rd csection in June and expereinced something similar with it, that I had not experienced with the previous 2. I never did go to the dr but it went away in about a week or so. I was going through alot of stress at the time in addition to having just given birth(I left my husband in March, my son was sick, no job, no child support....I could go on!) so I thought maybe it was my bodies way of telling me to relax. Good luck and maybe monday morning call the dr and just ask if you should be concerned
