Holiday Candy Help!

Hello all
There is a candy out there that a lot of people make for the holidays. You just take a round pretzel and melt a Hershey's Hug in the middle of it and then top with an M&M. My fam loves them and I want to make them for them. Problem is, I don't know what temp to set my oven to. Tried it once and either the chocolate didn't melt or it started to brown...and didn't look right.
Can someone who has made these successfully before point me in the right direction as to the steps for making these candies? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you all!

What can I do next?

The oven is at 350. You arent waiting to watch the chocolate melt. That kind of chocolate isnt made to melt unless it is stirred. I would start at 7 min and try to push an m&m in the middle...if it diesnt go smoothly,wait a few more minutes and try again. Every oven is so different. I think when we made them it was at about 10 min (but that was high altitude too) Enjoy!
PS I prefer the twisty pretzels vs the round, then your kiss doesnt sit on the cookie tray and it heats more evenly.

Heres another good one and they look so cute!
Small pretzel sticks (the bite size ones)
White almond bark
24 Yellow M&M's OR however many treats you want to make)

Lay out pretzels so each bite will have two sticks
Melt white chocolate in microwave
Drizzle white chocolate across the middle of the sticks and place one yellow M&M in the middle of the chocolate
Make sure to use waxed paper on a cookie sheet so you dont have to clean the pan afterwards.

These are supposed to look like bacon and eggs...they are so cute and the kids can help

I made a similar treat last year with rolos and pecans. Mmmm! I think the key is to just watch very closely and when you start seeing things melt, take it out.

Had never heard of these, but they sounded delicious. I went online to find the recipe. Here it is:

INGREDIENTS

* 24 circular pretzels
* 24 milk chocolate candy kisses
* 1 (1.69 ounce) package mini candy-coated chocolates

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Place pretzels on baking sheets. Unwrap candy kisses and place one in the center of each pretzel.
3. Place in preheated oven 1 to 2 minutes, until kisses melt. Remove from oven and place one candy-coated chocolate in the center of each pretzel. Chill in refrigerator until set.

Hope this helps.

hi,
we just made these for thanksgiving and we put the oven at 350. You have to watch VERY carefully. I did have a friend who made them in the microwave too.

have fun!
