I've lost my original voice after 8 months of child delivery. (i delivered my child 8 months ago) it's harsh and i can't understand what to do with it, there is no pain or anything in my throat. anybody had the same experience after their delivery? or it could be something else? it's been more than a month and hoarseness hasn't gone. my doctor said it has nothing to do with pregnancy.

What can I do next?

Maybe you are snoring.
Make an appointment with an Ear, Nose Throat doctor and see what they have to say about it.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'after 8 months of child delivery.' Did you deliver your child 8 months ago, and you've just now lost your original voice? Or did you lose your voice after delivery and still haven't recovered?

The only way that I can think of that childbirth would have impacted your voice was if you somehow damaged your vocal cords during the process. For instance, if you were groaning or yelling and somehow strained them.

You need to ask your doctor or an ENT.

Why don't you ask your doctor about this?

This question has come up before.

ENT? Possible allergies? Not sure.

Never heard of it personally, sorry.

ETA:

Try searching for it on here - with different searches - was on here not that long ago, several months after delivery.

a simple phone call to your regular physician or even the dr that delivered your child may be able to help you better than anyone online

I would go to the doctor. It could be a thyroid issue. That happened to me after I had my son. I think a noticed it months afterwards, but probably didn’t do anything about it until 2 years after when I developed other symptoms. I had a thyroid condition. My voice would come and go. I’m fine after getting it treated.

If the dr said it had nothing to do with pregnancy what did he said it might be? Sounds like you need to go get checked out.

8 months of child delivery would wear out most people's voices.

if your doctor says it has nothing to do with your pregnancy (or, presumably, the lengthy delivery), then why are equating them?

what do you think strangers on the internet can tell you that an actual doctor can't?

Have you been to an ENT? Have you had a scope done of your vocal chords? If you haven't, it's imperative that you do. You could have polyps or nodes, or you could have throat cancer.
