Help with a Gift for Co-worker

I cannot come up with anything to get a co-worker in my office. I work at a law office with 3 attorneys. Two are female and one is male. I only really work for 1 attorney but I help the others out when needed. I already got the 2 female attorneys a gift but I have no clue what to get the male. He is pretty laid back for an attorney. He does not drink coffee that often (usually drinks diet soda) but he does eat sweets a lot when they are out at the office. I was thinking about getting him chocolates or cookies or something like that but is that a feminine gift? Any suggestions out there on what I could get him?

Second question: Do I get the other assistant in the office something too? She has only worked there a couple of months and we never work together but I did train her. I never got the old assistant a git in previous years. In previous years it was just me, 1 attorney and 1 other assistant.

Thanks for any suggestions! I need them!

What can I do next?

For the male attorney- does he have a family? If so, a gift basket with cookies, candy and hot chocolate would be very welcome! He could share at work or bring it home to the kiddos.

Gourmet chocolates are great. In Kansas City, we have Christopher Elbow chocolates that are "over the top" delicious. Find some artisan chocolates at local gourmet shops...a wonderful gift.

Chocolate isn't too feminine. Just be careful about presentation.
Even the "manly" men I know enjoy a gift basket w/ cookies, muffins, lemon loaf, chocolate, meat, cheese...

can never go wrong with movie tickets, candy and popcorn. Also think of him with his family, dinner on you or family type gift card.

Oh no, I don't think a gift of cookies, chocolate, or other food item is too girlie! I think all men like to eat/graze. I always get my dad a box of chocolate covered cherries every year for Christmas, and am currently looking for a good sugar free peanut brittle for him, also. My parents get us a gift of meat & cheeses, and petite fours every year, also. My husband eats half of them himself!! lol
As for the other assistant, I think you should get her a small gift, if you're getting everyone else a gift. I'd be offended if I were in her shoes, if you get everyone but me a gift. I like the idea of a movie gift card. (Maybe because I never go!) You could bundle it up with a popcorn bucket, some candies, and some microwave popcorn! Also, you could do a GC for Starbucks, a restaurant, mani/pedi....

I do not think chocolates or other sweets are a "girlie" gift. Honestly, I think most guys prefer things they can eat and be done with :) My husband is a meat & chees guy and his office staff would always load him up with summer sausage and smoked cheeses. He was in hog heaven every holiday with his goodies.
In terms of other assistant you trained, if it is obvious you didn't get her something, but got everyone else something, yes a little movie gift card or something would not only be appropriate, but possibly necessary.

I would suggest a scentsy warmer. Instead of going through a scentsy dealer go to walmart and get one. They are located by the candles. You can pick a masculine style and buy the wax squares for about $2.50 each the warmers are about $15.00.

For the male attorney--what about a sack of pistachios or can of cashews if you feel candy it too girlie (which I don't)?

As for the assistant--how about a nice tree ornament?

Hmm....for the assistant - maybe a small gift certificate to get a mani or pedi or both? Girls for the most part like to get their nails done.

Well, I like all the ideas given. If he is single what about cookie of the month club. Bake him a dozen cookies a month for the year. Or bake a loaf of seasonal bread 4 times a year. I love the movie gift card, popcorn and a soda or movie candy. For your co-worker you can do the same thing or as others said an ornament or maybe a bookstore giftcard.
