Personally, I like Jessica or Andrea. I seriously have a half dozen friends, right now, with daughter's named Sophie. That is going to be SUCH a common name.

I've always liked Andrea. Jessica is so familiar to me I can tell you about 10 that I know. One is my half sister.

I vote for Sophie. It's such a sweet name.

My husband knew right off what he wanted to to name our daughter. Her name is Olivia. Since he picked the first name I was able to pick her middle name.

You may want to think about how the first name flows with your last name.

Good luck and Congratulations!!!!

Jessica and Andrea are pretty common. I like Sophie better, if you just want an opinion. I am unable to have more children, but if I could have another daughter, I would name her A..

Hi A.!

I would go with Sophie. I really like that name. The others are good too, just my personal preference. We actually considered it for my daughter who we ended up naming Ava.

Also depends on what middle name choices you have.

Hope it helps!

I see you already have a lot of responses, but I want to add that Sophie is extremely common right now, so in school she could be one of 3 or 4 Sophie's. That's not bad, but just be aware.

With Andrea, I never know if the stress is on the first syllable, AN-drea. Or the second, an-DREA. so that may be something she faces.

Just some more to think about!

love al the names, but I'm partial to Andrea, it was the name of a dear friend of mine, she was a wonderful person, full of life!

but anyhow, check all the names with what would be her initials and make sure it doesn't spell anything you don't want it to spell... even if she marries, for ex, Andrea Sophie Smith, would not be good initials to have even if your last name starts with something other than "S" she might marry a "S" or maybe you want the initials to spell something like Cathy Ann Taylor, not that you would want the initials to spell CAT but you know what I mean.

on a side note we had three boys and never got to use our "girl" name... which was Araceli, loved the name, just didn't get to use it! good luck

I had the attendees of my shower vote on the 3 names I couldn't decide between It was fun and my friends and family get to say they helped name her!

I have a Jessica, so I am partial to that one. It is a VERY popular name though, so it isn't all that original.

Good Luck & Congrats!

We were the same way with our son. After he was born we took our time holding him and looking at him. It wasn't until the end of the day that we were settled on a name. (even though the nurse tried to rush me to fill out the paperwork!) We also thought about what other people might shorten or "nickname" him to make sure we would be ok with it. Don't worry, you'll know when it's right. I promise you won't go home with a nameless baby! Have fun.

I like all your choices...obvioulsy so do you! :) Who cares about what others name their child or how common or uncommon they are. You just got to go with your gut, you intuition. What do you visulize your baby being named? I did this (I'm pregnant with boy #3) I talked to my boy in the belly and refered to him as a name we have in the running and one just felt right compared to the others.
I must say J. is a great name :) I love it and have enjoyed being a J.. It was kinda fun as a kid with the nick names your friends would come up with...never a bad one. Now I am refered mostly as Jess and J..

Jessica and Andrea both have nicknames if that makes a difference. Sophie is VERY trendy right now.

I would say Sophie out of the 3. Jessica is way to common.. My daughter has 2 in her 1st grade class! Also Andrea is pretty common now. Plus the "older" names are recylcing right now.. so Sophie.

I really like Sophie. I like my name, too. However, I've not had much luck with people calling me Jessica. More often than not, a person calls me Jess within minutes of knowing me--whether I like it or not. Good luck with your choice!

My dogs name is Sophie Marie.(shes 11 so I was trendy way back then! LOL) Dont take that as a put down though. I love my dog! I agree that Jesica is too common. I am leaning towards Andrea. Andi is an adorable nick name for a girl if you dont mind nicknames!
Congrats on the new baby.

Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the names you have selected. All three are feminine and dainty names and can have cute nicknames as well if they so elect to have nicknames later in life. Sitting here and thinking Andrea Sophie kind of flows...but I don't know your last name so not sure if that flows well.

Someone else mentioned initials...I thought long and hard about initials when I had my son. My sis-in-law shared that advice with me.

Hi A.!

Ok I have read the responses and it seems you got a lot of diffirent answers: ) I think Sophie is pretty but it is way too popular right now for babies. Jessica and Andrea are pretty and might be popular among kids in school now but by the time your daughter gets to school something else like Sophie will be popular. Plus I like how your name starts with an "A" like Andrea but I don't know what your oldest daughter's name is.

I have 2 daughters (ages 4 and 1)and love it. It is fun to watch them play together. We let the sex be a surprise both times so we had to have a boy name picked out too and never got to use it.

My first girl name was easy. We had known it was going to be Landri Renae. The 2nd time was much harder. I really thought I was having a boy this time so I kinda gave up on girls names. It wasn't until we were about to go back for my c-section that I finally decided on Eliza. It had been one of the main ones we had looked at and even though it was last minute, I am so happy I picked it. Don't stress too much, it will come to you which it should be : )

The meaning of our children's names was important to us and sites like babynames.com were helpful. According to babynames.com, Andrea means manly, Jessica means God beholds, and Sophie means wisdom.

I often call our daughter by her first and middle name (and not because she's in trouble) and will probably often call our son by his first and middle name, too.

So my favorite is Jessica Sophie - God beholds wisdom.

Have you looked up the maning of each name? That may help you decide-also there is a Christian meaning and scripture sometimes given for names if that would help you.
We like to look at family geneology and use past names-like my husbands grandmother's maiden name was Neill so one grandson is James Neill. Good Luck.

A.,

I have had a lot of Jessicas, and a few Sophies. I haven't had many Andreas in my classroom. Putting your last name with Jessica is going to give you a LOT of SSSSssss... However, If you're still considering names, here are a couple:

Avery Layne
Audry Rose
Omalia Rose
Aubrey Lynn

Just a thought...

I have a Jessica, so I'm obviously biased. I will say if you want something less common, go for Andrea. I haven't seen a little Andrea in a long time.

Funny thing is, when my Jessica was born and we named her, the L&D nurses all exclaimed that they hadn't had a Jessica at Baylor in a very long time. To this day, I only know of three other Jessicas my daughter's age or younger. Most Jessicas I run into are teens or adults. I know of a LOT of baby and toddler Sofia/Sophias, though.

Anyway, they're all great names, and your baby will love any name you give her.

What is your first daughters name? It may help narrowing your choices by seeing which one "sounds better" with her name, lol. May sound crazy, but hey, you never know. All 3 are beautiful.
