Hi Moms,

I have been extremely bloated and somewhat nauseous, no appetite, for about the past 5 days. My period is about 1-3 days late(usually, I'm anywhere from 28-31 days). I've taken 2 pregnancy tests-both negative. I am so uncomfortable and am beginning to worry. I'm otherwise healthy, not constipated, not gas related, exercise, good weight..etc. I think this is pms related, but I'm just really getting worried. Any stories to share or advice....I'll call my doc on monday of course!! Thanks!

What can I do next?

I've used Gas-x in the past - chewable's. I've had really bad bloating/ gas pains (doubled over in pain) and these seem to help. Good Luck!

Dear obviously pregnant M. A, When I was newly pregnant with our second son, I felt just as you are describing. My husband and Mother insisted I was pregnant, and I told them they were both nuts. My first test were also negative. I am guessing I was just too early for positive results on the home test. I have chalked the discomfort to the early hormone surge from implantation of the early embryo, now a 9 month old strapping boy named Noah. Let us know so we can congratulate you!

It's possible that you could have some cysts. I have one on my left kidney and ovary. I'm going in to have them checked out and to talk to my doc about having them removed. I have bloating alot and have been researching cysts. From what I've read they can cause bloating and discomfort.

HI,
There are times when I've felt like that before my period. What I think it is, is when I don't drink enough water during the month or I'm eating really crappy. That yogurt, Activia, really helps me. I find that when I get really bloated it makes me nauseous and the last thing I want to do is eat. But that yogurt seems to help get all the good bacteria under control. Hope this helps!

could probably be yeast, you need to get on a yesat free diet and take acidophilis pills with out dairy and garlic Q102 start one pill a day and increase up to 4-5 with the acidophilis and up to 6 a day with the garlic. acidopholis is 20 minutes before a meal and garlic is with a meal this will help tremendously

You could still be PG! When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had 2 negative tests also before I got my BFP. Even though the tests claim they can tell if you're pregnant before you are late, I have learned that this isn't always the case. If you're not exactly sure when you're period is due, then it may just be that you're not late enough yet for the test to register.
Either way, best of luck! Hope this helps!

Hi M. A- There are so many things that could be going inside of you. Your body is trying to tell you something. Being an advocate for natural remedies for years-I would recommend that you do the following--

1. Increase your consumption of good clean water.
2. Increase your intake of fruits and veggies-organic of course--juice if you can
3. Go to your local health food store and purchase 2 medicinal teas-health king products preferably pms relief and they have one for bloating but I am not sure what it is called. These help immensely to release that feeling.

You could possibly be suffering from candidasis which is a build up of yeast in the body. All women have it to some degree. I have studied herbology for 7 years and have had and recommended wonderful results using holistic courses of action. If you want more info send me a personal message.

I'm still getting over the new strain of intestinal flu that started the same way. My drs. nurse, didn't even want me in the office to be getting anyone else sick. I needed to go on a soft diet, take Ibuprofen and Immodium if I started to need it (and believe me she said, you will!). I did! I've been sick for 10 days already and just when I thought it was gone, yesterday, there it was, back again in the evening. If you're bloated and tummy is painful, just give the dr. a call if it gets to what I have. Good luck

That was always one of the first signs for me that I was preg (I have had 3 kids, 4 pregnancies), before the preg tests were positive, the extreme bloating. I hope it is not something serious!

Hi,
If this is not just limited to a day or 2 longer, you may have a stomach bacteria called H-pylori. It can cause all of those symptoms, soemtimes comes on rather abruptly. but othertimes slowly.
A simple blood test ordered by your healthcae provider can tell if you carry the antibody titer to this bacteria.
You can also try a box of Prilosec OTC to see if these syptoms get better, if just a virus. Call your healthcare provider if not getting better.
The treatment for H-pylori is 2 antibiotics plus a medicine like prilosec, for 10-14 days. Good luck.

It took weeks for my son to show up on a pregnancy test. No period, but not pregnant (according to the test). I never got an explaination, but he's fine and healthy. I'd keep testing every few days until you get your period or a positive.

If I were you I'd pee on another stick, try a First Response Early Result. You could possibly not have had enough HcG in your system to come up with a positive the last time you took a test.
Also, period symptoms are exactly the same as pregnancy symptoms. You never know, unless Aunt Flo shows.
You can also make these things up in your head. I just went through this, this past week. I thought I had ovulated a week before I actually did! I thought I was late for my period, getting negatives, but really I was 7 days away from my period starting. ::rolls eyes:: ugh.
If you do not chart your cycles, I would sugggest the book Taking Control Of Your Fertility, and the website www.fertilityfriend.com. Charting your cycles will help you get a grasp on when you ovulate. In turn this helps you understand when you are fertile and how to become pregnant without the guessing game.

Has your diet changed in any way? Eating drinking anything new or something you haven't had in a while? That is normally the cause for bloating... or it could be stress related too. If you took two pregnancy tests, and they both came out negative, chances are your not pregnant, but the best advice I can offer you is to go to your doctor and get an expert opinion.
