I am planning my husbands grad party and I am in need of ideas of where to cater from... I want to do mexican and the area is around St. Clair Shores, MI... If anyone knows of a place that I can trust with good food and even better yet GREAT pricing..please let me know asap! thanks
I second the vote for El Charro's (it's a family favorite), and I think there is one right in St. Clair Shores.

We had our wedding in St. Clair shores and used A Movable Feast Catering and they were great.
Hi Jenni, First of all congrats to you and your husband!
I don't know of any "Mom and Pop" type of restaurants in St. Claire Shores but ccheck that out. They are usually the best. Second option is a chain restaurant. If you have any On the Border, Chipolte or Qdoba restaurans near you, they are pretty good. They are more Tex-Mex but still delicious. I know that Qdoba definately caters.
Third option is to go to "Mexicantown". Any restaurant BUT Xiochilmico's would be great. Take I-75 till you are almost at the Ambassador Bridge. "Mexicantown" hhas a small sign saying "next exit" one or two exits before the bridge. Hope that helps. Good luck!
Zumba Mexican Grille in Royal Oak Caters and their food is really fresh and great. I think the prices are very reasonable.

One of our favorites is 'El Charo' right there on Harper Ave in St Clair Shores, just north of 9 Mile Rd. Their food is delicious!

I love Cranks Catering but am not sure about a Mexican menu. As far as finding other moms/kids, I run a Moms Group where everyone brings their little ones and we share some scripture & prayer and talk/support each other a lot. It's at The Shoes Church on Thursday mornings and I can send you exact info or you can call the church ###-###-####. Church is a great place to make new friends!
