Hello S.,
What about little coupon books geared towards moms. I have seen them at Hallmark Stores and in other specialty gift shops and book stores. They have coupons in them such as, "this entitles you to a day of no dishwashing! The kids and hubby will do them today!" and other coupons are for things like, "this coupon is good for eating dinner out tonight! No cooking by mom tonight!" Thngs along those lines. They are really fun gift ideas and us moms appreciate and use them!! Have fun--I love baby showers! P.S. I bought a coupon book for moms for my girlfriend at Hallmark I think it was $8.00.

The best one I ever got was a $5 gift card to Target. If you’re not doing a ton of games it’s a great way to go. Also most Target stores now have a $1 section right as you walk in. Lots of cute fun stuff there. Ok well this is starting to sound like an add for Target so I should stop.

The last shower I went to had a few different ones, gift cards and little lotions and bath stuff from Bath and Body Works. Very cool.
At my baby shower the gal in charge gave away really sweet little handpainted picture frames (bees and bean vines), fridge magnets made from little magazine cut outs with pics of babies and baby sayings, and seed packages for different kinds of beans (cuz the theme was The Lil'Bean.)

Here is just few to start:

- Small/travel size hand lotions
- Special home made cookies or candies packed in clear cellophane bag
- Scented candles
- Picture frames
- Fridge magnets

Anything small, inexpensive and practical or at least sweet :)

http://www.ThirstyCake.com - Great place to buy Baby shower gift for new or expecting parents. They offer a beautiful and top quality diaper cakes. My favorite is Alice in Wonderland - Mad Hatter tea party. This custom cake was shipped to our friends house in 4 days from ordering it! It was the best and most talked about shower gift!

Hi S.! I agree candles, B&B lotions (the little purse size), photo frames, little albums and those $5-10 gift cards to places like Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Cold Stone are all really great ideas.

I threw my sisters shower and we also did a raffle for "bigger" prizes. All the $$ for the tickets went into the babies first piggy. That was a great way to get the babies savings started.

Have fun!
