Ok so i have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now. I have seen infertility had all the testing done this month to find that there is no reason we are not getting pregnant. So the doctor said we could still try to get pregnant this month and we are starting clomid next month. My question is that this time i am 7 days from the start of my cycle and i am having back pains....not really bad but enough to annoy me and some lower abdominal pain and a really light spot that started out yesterday to be bright red, i did not notice it this morning but have noticed some brownish colored blood on the pad. I am just concerned as to if this means we are not going to get pregnant this month or if this is a sign we might be. I should that it is too soon to take a pregnancy test as I am only 8 days or so post ovulation. Any advise would be great!

What can I do next?

I've heard of just about everything, so there's really no telling if it's a sign of pregnancy or not. Safest bet is "wait and see"

If you go the clomid route, I wouldn't try it for more than 2-3 cycles (some doctors will go for up to 6 cycles). If you aren't successful by that point, I'd go to see Dr. McLaughlin in Noblesville (www.familyjoy.net). I went through two ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) cycles with him and have two beautiful, wonderful daughters.

Be patient and wait to test if you don't get your period on time. Sure you can buy a zillion pregnancy tests and up your anxiety levels, waiting to see if you're pregnant and waiting for the line to appear, but you'll get the same answer if you wait for a missed period.

I don't have much to offer on the abdominal or back pains except that you could have a urinarty tract infection.
I would like to tell you about my struggles with fertility. In 1996, I had a miscarriage. After, I couldn't get pregnant. I was convinced that I would not be able to conceive and carry a child. I gave up. When I did, what do you know, I got pregnant! That child is almost 10 yrs. old now. We tried again to conceive several years ago. It just wasn't happening. I was sooo frustrated because I wanted another baby so badly. I had surgery to correct some issues with my uterus and ovaries. My doctor told me to go ahead and try to conceive. If I was unable to, he would put me on fertility drugs that next Feb. For that Christmas, we bought my oldest a prayer journal for one of his gifts. His first prayer request to God, was a baby brother or sister. Keep in mind now, this was on Christmas Day. I got pregnant on Dec. 26 and found out on Jan. 9. Prayer goes a long way!!
Don't pressure yourself too much. We did that and it only makes it harder to conceive. I now have 2 wonderful boys, 1 is almost 2, the other is almost 10. Me, the woman who thought she might never be able to have children! Try not to stress about it too much. Good luck to you and your family. T. M.

So, I found this on a website hope it helps you a little bit.

On average, one can expect implantation to occur about seven to ten days after you ovulate.

Signs of implantation are few: Unlike pains associated with the release of the egg (mittelschmerz), there is seldom any kind of cramping or physical awareness that implantation has taken place. In fact, the first sign of implantation may be a positive pregnancy test!On the other hand, some women do experience what is called implantation bleeding, a very light spotting that may occur just shortly after the embryo implants in the uterine lining of the womb. Again, this spotting will be very light, won't last more than a day, and will be typically brown or possibly reddish in color.

Now with your history I wouldn't get your hopes up to much!!! I wish you all the luck, I hope your signs do turn out in a positive pregnancy test!!!!

Good Luck,
A.

A chiropractor can work wonders for your attempt at pregnancy and also aleviate your back and abdominal pain. If you live near Plainfield, I would highly recommend Dr. Jonathan Bright at ###-###-####. His office is by Cord Camera on Perry Road across from the Metropolis on US 40. Dr. Bright is thorough, very low impact and professional. I see him every two weeks for adjustments. God Bless! M.

Don't really know about the abd and bk pain but spotting about a week to 10 days after ovulation can occur as an egg attaches to the wall of the uterus. Hope this is the case and you're pregnant! I spotted 9 days after ovulation when I got pregnant. Not all women do this but I hope that's what you are noticing! Best wishes! It took us 4 1/2 years to have our angel!

well you could very well be preganant i experienced the same thing when i thought i was pregnant ( i turned out to be!!!) but i sorta shrugged it off as being spotting leading to my period until i was 8 days late for my cycle!!! The doctor said the mild or moderate cramping and light spotting is caused from the egg implanting itself in the uterine lining..and if that's whats happening to you then that means you conceived roughly two weeks ago!!! wait at least 5 days before you expect your period to come to take a test..if it comes up negative wait another week..take it first thing in the morning urine has the highest concentration of hcg (humoglobins) the hormone your body releases when your pregnant..

This could go either way. Sometimes the symptoms that you are having are normal right before your period. Also, sometimes after you conceive you will have some light spotting and all that is is the fertilized egg implanting into your uterus. Right now just pray that you are pregnant and if you are late for your period grab a test and see. I would wait for about a week and a half after you miss your period if you do to take a test. Sometimes you wont get a positive result right after you miss your period. I always waited at least a week and a half to take a test and then it would show positive but it will show up weak because the hcg level isn't that strong that early. Good luck and I hope you are pregnant! Please let me know how things work out.
