Hi everyone, I was wondering if any of you have heard of or used Ovulex to get pregnant! I have told my story of how hard it is to get pregnant and how frustrating it can be. Just as a reminder, I have irrugular periods and I was undergoing fertility treatments. I was tested and I was told that I dont have PCOS and my husband's boys were also checked and we were told that his boys are good and strong!!! I was told by a fertility specialist that there should be no problem getting pregnant and he didnt know why I havent. I was taking 4 cycles of Clomid and Provera to get my periods, but that didnt work either. I stopped taking the medication in June of 2006 and since then my period has been coming on its own! I didnt get a period in January and I thought I might of been pregnant, but I took a test and it was negative. I waited a few weeks and its March 28 and I still - no period!!! The past week, my boobs have been sore and I feel nauseau, but I dont throw up...I took a test this morning and it was also negative. I have run out of options, and I was looking online and found Ovulex. I read testimonials, but I was wondering what you guys think about it or what do you know about it!!! Thanks in advance and wish me luck!!!

What can I do next?

I took 2 OTC pregnancy tests and they came out neg. I went to OBGYN and found out I was 8 weeks pregnate...get MD to check you out first. I never got "morning sickness" with any of my 4 pregnancies but with this one I had EXTREMELY weird food cravings. I figured I was either pregnate or I had cancer...lololol...but I knew something was different. That was 16 years ago and my son is 6 feet tall and healthy as a horse.

Make a Drs appointment...I was told that I would NEVER have children and would have to adopt. Don't give up hope.

My sister-in-law had trouble getting pregnant and had irregular periods...they put her on regular birth control pills for like a year then took her off them and she got pregnant right off. I'm a bit concerned about the pregnancy symptoms with no fetus...I had that happen once and the pregnancy test came back negative so they did an ultrasound and found ovarian cysts. You may want to get an ultrasound just to be safe...if nothing shows then cool, but if cysts are present they can take care of that. There have was a time that I had trouble getting pregnant...it wasn't anything that good dose of tequila and a night in a hotel couldn't fix. It seems that the harder we tried to get pregnant the less likely it was to happen. But the night in a hotel away from the hustle and bustle of home life and a stiff dose of tequila to relax with was all it took. Another thing that happens is this: you know kids never do what they're told...and they do things at the most inappropriate times right? The business that I was working for closed as they weren't getting much business and the husband's job had a massive layoff, so we both wound up out of work at the same time...that's when the pregnancy test came up posative...lol. So it seems you have 3 options...1.) go on birth control for a year, 2.) get drunk with you hubby at a hotel for a night, 3.) lose your jobs...you may be suprised at the results of the test. LMAO. If this is less than helpful, atleast you got a good laugh.

Don't trust the OTC pregnancy test. I took two of them when I thought I was pregnant and both came out negative. I went to the GYN two weeks later and found out I was pregnant. I would make an appt. with your doc to schedule another pregnancy test and discuss your symptoms. Hopefully he/she will be able to help you out.

I have a very dear friend who has severe endometriosis - she had been told she could never get pregnant on her own without fertility drugs. A couple of weeks ago she was complaining because her period was 4 weeks late and she felt bloated and nauseas she took 3 OTC pregnancy tests and they all came up negative so I insisted she get a blood test done - you guessed it she was pregnant. OTC tests aren't 100%, if you're hormone levels are low then they won't show positive and sometimes you need to go on hormone's to convince your body to "keep" the pregnancy so I would recommend that you get to the doctor ASAP and have a blood test run in case you need progesterone or something to help your body "keep" a pregnancy.

I don't know about the infertility. But I experience the same symptoms every time starting about two before and all the way up until I have my period. This has only been hapening for the last 8 months or so, so hopefully you are, but the symptoms don't always mean you are. Sometimes the hormones from your period can cause that. Maybe you are just getting ready to have a long overdue period?
I wish you the best of luck!

I have not heard of this, but my advice would be to go get a blood test. Sometimes the level of hormone is not high enough for the urine tests. Blood tests are much more accurate.

Did they rule you out for Metformin?
I, and many other friends I have, successfully conceived AFTER fertility treatments, but in most cases it was using injectables (pergonal, Gonal-F etc) It's as though they jump start your ovaries.
I got pregnant and then again right after my girl - she's 8 months and I am 24 weeks preggo and my friend's son is 9 1/2 months and she's about 14 weeks now....

I would advise you see a specialist and discuss a more aggressive treatment than clomid, although many women get preggo with clomid, many do not and it doesn't mean it's the end of the rope, by far!!! it's actually the beggining.
You just have to get the "right" cocktail of meds.
If the meds u're asking about aren't prescription - I'd stay away from the expense. Or maybe try them once if they aren't too expensive..
I tried every combination of herbs and so forth for years AND YEARS AND YEARS....
I had my first child at 35.
