Please tell me if you have discovered a great brand of sippy cups. I really need some that don't leak... and haven't found any yet. When my daughter was a toddler The First Years made great sippy cups but have since changed them and they leak. BPA-free, etc. please. Thank you Mamas!

I agree with the Gerber hard topped ones. I've had one for 3 years now -- same stopper, always washed in the dishwasher, never EVER leaks.

We've also had good luck with Nalgene's and buy them at REI.

We started with Avent and they are the worst! Tried a ton of others that were just ok. My friend got him this one for his b-day and it doesn't leak, but it's not bpa free so we have not gotten any others like it.

It's made by gerber and sold at target. They don't seem to have any like it that are bpa free either.
The best and cheapest one that I've found is a 99 cent munchkin one from target. I couldn't find the exact one online, but it's the 99 cent one, very simple w/ no handles.
Good luck!

Skip the sippy cups and use only normal cups. If traveling use the disposible ones. Then you really don't have to "wean" from sippy cups.

Im wondering what kind of responses you will get on this. My kids are almost out of sippy cups, my son pretty much is except for his night time water. the ones ive liked best are the playtex ones ive gotten a few that werent manufactured right so they leaked when they laid down but for the most part they are okay and the do sell replacement stoppers. I think that over time they all leak after many washes in the dishwasher warps the plastic.

I wouldn't buy anything else. I've wash many many times and they never leak. Most of my friends use them too.

I have the Klean Kanteen kids sippy for my son. It is stainless steel ( no leaching of chemicals, and BPA free). However, the tops did leak a little, so I called Avent, who makes the tops, and they send me something called a "Sports Top" (it's yellow), which has been great! I love the sippy, too--and so does my son.

p.s. if you want to go the plastic route, Playtex makes some basic ones that we never had a leaking problem with. We used those for years until I switched to the Klean Kanteen last year. Playtex put out a press release last year that stated which of their cups were BPA free, and most of the regular ones that were a recycle code 5 or a 2 were fine.
