I sent out a question earlier today, and had the name of the hair product wrong, it's infussions, I probabbly spelled it wrong anyway, it's not sold in stores. Dr.Laura recommended this to a caller on her talk radio show, I have np bald spots, but loosing a lot of hair this product is supposed to promote hair growth, and stop thining and hair loss. So again if any of you have used this product i would love to hear from you, weather positive or negative results.

What can I do next?

Dear J.:

Did she say it was a PRODUCT called Infussions? Because infussions are usually just herbal teas that you rinse through your hair and scalp to reduce itchiness that can lead to hair loss. There are many types you can make: chamomile, licorice, nettle, etc.

There is a product called Infusiom 23 which is a leave-in rinse but, though I used it for years (and it's available in most stores), I don't believe it has any effect on hair loss. I've always had thin hair...both when I used this product and when I didn't.

I believe the best thing for the hair is to improve the diet with organic, whole foods and good fats (unheated olive oil, avocado, nuts, etc.)

Best wishes, J.!

M.

Hi J.,

I use Murad shampoo. I lost hair after giving birth. I've been using the Murad shampoo for 5 years, my bold spots and thinning have gone away. I'm still growing new baby hair.

Hope you find something that works for you!

Caeolyn

What I'm not sure about and you didn't mention, is have you seen your physican? There are times when your hair starts thinning it could be caused hormonally. Your pituitary gland could be off. Your TSH level may be off or something else such as stress. There are a lot of reasons for your hair to be thinning and testing is the first place you should start. It could be as easy as changing your diet, work habits, taking synthroid to level off the hormone balance or using a special shampoo. You should never do anything without seeing a doctor first. I realize that Dr. Laura is a doctor, but you are not sitting in front her and she can not diagnose you while on the radio. Sometimes others peoples symtoms simulate others and you should never take anything for granted.

Have not used it, but suggest you look for the underlying cause of your problem. I rec'd you get a proper and thorough check done on your thyroid! Most doctors only check 1 or 2 parameters, you really need to check at least 5 to know what is going on. You can read up on thyroid tests at www.directlabs.com or contact myself or another highly trained specialist.

I have used Rogaine - actually, generic monoxidil - and it takes a couple of months to get going, but it does work.
