Has Anyone Tried SlimQuick?

I don't really believe in diet pills, we all know how we are "supposed" to loose weight, if only it were that easy! Just wondering if anyone has tried SlimQuick and if so, did you think it was worth it or just a waste of money?

What can I do next?

Hi S.,

I don't agree with diet pills and such either. One of the best things I have found is the video "workout for dummies" and the special K diet, and anytime you can get out and walk then do it. It has helped me.
Good Luck and hang in there,

I'm so glad to see so many smart, intelligent women giving you the advice that pills, gimmicks, and 'silly stuff' just does not work when it comes to losing weight!

I mean really...if all of these thousands of products work, would we still be a nation of grossly obese people? Why would companies have to come out with 'new and improved', 'stronger formula', or 'latest invention' pills or products?

If you want to lose weight and keep it off for good, you need to adopt a healthy nutrition plan and couple it with exercise. Sure the pills and gimmicks may help you lose the weight, but in the majority of people who use them as soon as they go off the pill or the diet, the weight piles right back on and then some. And yes, it will take time for the weight to come off. People who want to lose 20, 50, 70, 100 pounds always forget that they didn't put the weight on in 30 days so it is completely unreasonable to expect the weight to come off that quickly. It just isn't healthy, and can be harmful to your metabolism (encouraging a starvation-survival state where your body freaks out thinking "oh my god when are you going to feed me again? I'm going to hoard fat and you won't lose a pound until you feed me!").

Don't waste your money.

Hi S.!

I have not tried this one or any of the newer ones out since I have spent way too much money in the past on these gimmicks... I will admit though that with some of them I did lose weight fast... unfortunately I put it right back on even faster! And ended up also with a huge ER bill from the side effects!

Have you considered doing Weight Watchers? It works WONDERFULLY!!!!! I lost 30 pounds in 3 months and did it safely with no side effects- except for having to buy smaller clothes! You can still eat what you want but you "budget" your points if you plan to do some MAJOR splurging! It is easy and actually now there is even a plan that does not use points. It is eat as much as you want in a certain category of food... I do not understand it well since I need the structure of counting my points and being responsible for my choices! I still have a long ways to go but I am doing it the safe way! Plenty of my family have done it and 3 years and 10 years later they are still wearing skinny jeans :) Look into it if you can!

Good luck to you and many blessings!

I hate to see you waste your money. The main thing to long term weight loss is less calories than you expend, maintaining your blood sugars by eating every 3-4 hours including a protein and good fat at each meal. For example, the ideal snack is a piece of fruit with 2 tablespoons of PB or nut butter, or a piece of fruit with 2 string cheese. Also make sure you are getting at least 7hrs of sleep per night, it is part of the weight loss equation, when you lack sleep, your body craves more junkie foods to sustain energy and keep the sugars up. Plus it messes with your metabolism and you'll have to work harder to stablize it again, which can also wreck havoc when you are older.

I have tried it and it was a waste of money. What did work though, was Alli but be careful not to eat too much fat at a meal because the side effects they tell you about DO happen. I still am having a problem losing that last 10 pounds of baby weight from my second. Good Luck!

I personally got a little shaky from it. I was never very good at remembering to take pills. I remember I had to start off with one pill in the morning for a week or so, then move to two pills, one in the morning and one in the afteroon.
My one girlfriend had to stop taking the afternoon one because it was actually making it hard for her to go to sleep at night (I did not have this problem). My other girlfriend did lose a lot of weight on it, but if you do not keep up with it, you start gaining it back.
I tried to use it just as a jump start, and to start helping me minimize my helpings. I did not really see any results. I wish there was a pill that could at least assist in the process. I am not very big, but just trying to lose a little bit of the baby fat left over from my daughter. It is hard to find something to help. Hope this helps!

It works if you use it to replace a meal, not add it to a meal like a lot of people do.

I tried it years ago and have the worst bout of constipation ever, but that does not mean it will affect you or anyone els the same way,if you are going to try it buy the smallest amount you can that way it won't be a total waste if it does not do anything for you

Hello

I have not tried SlimQuick, but I have tried Body Trim from A.C.T. I lost 3lbs in 3 days and am losing inches (I am having trouble keeping my under roos up). My friend lost 5 lbs in 6 days. The plus side is there is no bad stuff in it. You sign up for free and order your product when you need it. Another plus is that it is inexpensive. Gotta love that!! Let me know if you have any questions. My website is below if you want to check it out.

I was going to buy some but it has green tea, and I think im allergic to it. I did get some Ventalean, which is just a caffiene pill and it helps me exercise a bit longer and burn more fat but you have to drink lots and lots of water.

S.-There is not magic pill, food or these "diets" that actually are good for you. They ALL contain very harsh chemicals and toxins. Do the research for yourself on the ingredients.

It seems it may work at first for some but will actually end up slowing down your metabolism. You want to rev it up and that means getting your body to work correctly. Dr. Mercola just released some interesting info (mercola.com) that 90% of of our money is spent on processed, chemically laden food. What has happened to reaching for a carrot, apple or celery. We have replaced with pills, "energy/nutritional" bars and fake food.

Let's keep it basic fresh fruits (certain fruits are high in sugar and should be limited) and veggies and of course omega 3's, 6's (specific fishes, coconut oil, avocados) and a source of good protein.

If you would like more info please feel free to contact me.

Never tried SlimQuick, but I believe the pills to be a bit of a farce. I am currently on the South Beach Diet. It worked wonders for me a few years ago, and my husband and I decided we needed to do it again. All fresh veggies!
