I got a flier in our subdivision advertising for Ambit Electricity, and after getting our electric bill from TXU, I wanted to find out more. I checked the website and of course see all the wonderful things they say but, I'd like to see if anyone has experience with them and if so find out the rusults good/bad! Thank you so much.

Yes and I am HAPPY. You can get free energy with them and you earn free travel points for trips, airfare tickets and more. Yes, what you hear is all true. Go to Teneb.joinambit.com for rates and to sign up today. Also, they have a really good home based business plan where you can earn $$$$ for simply saving people $$$ on their electricity. Go to Teneb.whyambitworks.com.

T., We switched to Ambit Energy about six months ago and so far have saved over $260.00. We also have become consultants for this company and are very impressed with everything they offer. Right now we have rates as low as .1099 cents per kil. hour. You can go onto our website and compare with what you a currently paying and give us a call if you would like. Our web is www.madenergy.ambitenergy.biz and my phone is ###-###-####. Would love to find out what you ended up doing as this post was from a few months ago. D.

Yes I switched to Ambit and I have been saving ever since. Then I went to work for them because they offer and provide the only way to get FREE Electricity and Natural Gas in NY state. Everyone I know would like to pay less or have a way to get it for free so it made sense to me!
Go to my site: www.whin.whyambitworks.com

Hi T.,
I would encourage you to check out my website at www.juliemoore.igniteinc.biz to sign up for Stream Energy. I recently signed up with this business to help people to switch their electricity. I am hoping to start making some extra money to be able to stay home with my daughter next year. Anyway, Stream energy will definately save you money over TXU, and you will receive the same service. The only difference you will see is the savings on your bill. If you would like to know more info. or need help, let me know.
thanks, J.

TXU is so high!!! I have felt your pain. Last year we switched from TXU to Direct Energy. Now Reliant is offering even better savings than anyone. I have never heard of Ambit, but try searching for it with the BBB. One thing I like about Direct Energy and Reliant, is there is no credit check (won't leave a mark on your credit report like some others do), no deposit, contract-yes but you can cancel at any time without penalty.

My husband said to keep switching every year when a better plan comes along at the end of our contract and play/beat the electric company system. FYI-switching from TXU only lowered our bills about $50. That doesn't seam like much when they are $300 plus, but it helps. DON'T do average billing with Direct Enery or Reliant though-they will sock it to you.

Happy Elcetric Hunting!!!

Hi T.,

I've never heard of Ambit electric company. I just switched from Reliant to a company called First Choice Power since it was the cheapest rate I could find using the powertochoose.org website for my area, but I've heard of other people in my area getting really great deals from solicitors on the phone. We are on the "do not call" list so we don't ever get solicitations anymore. That's probably why the offers by phone are so good. As an example, I got 12.1 cents per kwh for up to 550 kwh and then 12.9 cents per kwh for all kwh over that. I was paying something like 14.9 cents per kwh with Reliant. My friend about a mile away got a deal from another company by phone for 10.1 cents per kwh regardless of how much she uses.

There are a few websites you can check out that include some important facts and terms of service for each provider in your area. You search based on your zip code usually and knowing the fine print is what's important when it comes to switching. For example, both of the companies my friend and I selected have a 12 month contract and if we cancel within that 12 months, we have to pay a penalty. Mine is $150. Of course, when the industry is completely deregulated soon, it might still be worth it to pay the penalty if electric companies really start dropping their rates as some experts have predicted. Here are the websites: www.chooseenergy.com, www.saveonenergy.com, www.electricitytexas.com and www.powertochoose.com.

I sure wish more people would switch from TXU. If everyone would switch, TXU would have to lower their rates. As it is now, with millions NOT switching, they can keep their rates high and the rest of the competitors are happy to follow suit. Good luck with your choice! :-)
