Has Anyone Else Had a Horrible Experience at Allen Pediatrics?

I am Very surprised that you had a bad experience there. I have been taking both of my boys there for about 8 years. Dr. Barksdale has always been up front and honest with us and that is why my husband and I love her. And Suzanne (PA) is FABULOUS as well.
Margret (KB's nurse) has always been attentive to all of my concerns and Leah (Suzanne's nurse) is is very loving and caring as well.
I would suggest that you call and chat with the office manager (not sure of his/her name) but I'm sure that it's something that can can be worked out.

I've been taking my girls to allen peds for about 2 yrs now and I love them. They've always been very nice and helpful and on time. Is it a doctor thing or a front desk thing? If it's the doctor you can switch to a different one, I think there are 3 of them there. If it's a front desk thing, you can talk to the doctor and they can address it. I hope it gets better!!

I wanted to let you know that I take my daughter to Rain Tree Pediatrics and they are GREAT! they are right next to Allen Presbyterian on Exchange. I have seen all the doctors and they are all wonderful. I have even have had wonderful experiences with all the nurses and front desk people, maybe you should try them.

I wouldn't call it horrible, but I haven't had great experiences. As far as I know there is just Dr. Barksdale and the PA. I always try to get the PA. I think she is wonderful and she is great with my kids. Dr. Barksdale is only ok. I don't know the name of the nurse assigned to Dr. Barksdale, but I don't think she interacts with kids very well at all. As for the front office, there is only one person who seems to know what she is doing. I think she is assigned to Dr. Barksdale, which is unfortunate for me since I like seeing the PA. My insurance claims always seem to get messed up with their office and nowhere else. Why do you ask do I still go there? I like the PA and it is extremely convenient for me. But, really I should be looking for a new pediatrician.
