I'm looking to hear from anybody who has ever tried Slimquick. Does it really work? I'd like to hear the pros and cons of it please. I was looking at it at Walmart today and if I decide to try it, what is the best to use, the Hoodia pills, drink mix or anything at all.

What can I do next?

I have had friends have success with weight watchers. Don't give up on the exercise it does work, lots of cardio. Diet pills are bad for your body, thats common sense. Good luck your worth it.

I'm sure a lot of moms have responded already, but I had to share... I recently got into this whole wellness plan because of some medical issues that opened my eyes.

In working with my chiropractor & a naturopath, I found out I have thyroid issues which is why I wasn't losing weight no matter what I tried and hormone issues I already knew I had contributed too. I am also working at the gym with a personal trainer. Between the 3, I've already seen results in just 2 weeks! Nothing major, but my clothes are fitting looser & I feel SO much better without using some crazy fad diet that won't last or putting awful chemicals into my body!

You have to balance your nutrition with your excercise to see results. Also, you have to not jsut do cardio, but weight-training too. The more muscle mass you build, the more calories you burn, even while sedentary. I sit on my butt all day at work, so this is a big deal for me! It's definitely a whole lifestyle change, but I gave up soda 2 weeks ago and haven't looked back, I never watch TV any more, I'm having a blast finding new healty recipes, I could keep going on... I actually cheated a bit and tried a bit of my hubby's DP- aka my former addiction- and I didn't even like the taste of it! Same with french fries! I think I ate/drank that junk just out of habit.

Anyway, I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but I hope it helps! Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

I don't know anything about Slimquick, but I do know a little about exercise. I'm sorry that 6 weeks at the gym has not done much for you. But I would definitly not give up on that. There are two common reasons exercise doesn't work for people: 1-You are not doing enough cardio to burn the calories you are taking into your body or 2- You are doing enough cardio, but you are taking an overload of calories into your body which would require extra extra cardio. It's all about balance between the two. If you look at your cardio machine it will tell you how many calories you have burned, compare that to how much you take in and see where you're at. Remember your body needs a lot of those calories to survive,so don't expect to burn every calorie you consume, but be aware of the amount you take in and the amount you work off. This is how exercise helps us loose weight, by burning the extra calories our body didn't use for energy. I hope this info has helped you in some way or another. Good luck in this quest that so many of us go through. Blessings.

Yes I have tried slimquick and yes it does suppress your appetite. So in that aspect it does work. I can't recall if I lost any weight, but I am not using it anymore, so I guess that tells you something :)! The best eating plan that I have found and that I am actually on is the abs diet. WoW!! My husband and I stuck to that diet for one week faithfully and he lost 12 lbs and I lost 10 lbs. It is awesome!! Then the summer came and that did it! Now I have started it again, but not exact, and I have lost about 7 lbs in 2 weeks. I need to step it up a bit. It is not a diet because you can eat everything but more of certain types of food. You should check out the website. If you are in to pills and weight loss shakes then check out www.corissabell.myarbonne.com and click on weight loss, We have some awesome products that really work! Good Luck!!

I know that you don't want to hear this, but the very best way to lose weight and keep it off is to "diet and exercise". I lost 50 lbs in a year (yes it was slow) by eating four small meals a day. I would also keep a snack around like a banana or orange, or something light. By small meal, I mean something that could fit in one hand.

I could have lost a lot more if I had tried harder. I wasn't even really trying!!! I still have 50 more to go.

Anyway, those pills and shakes never really worked for me. It has been proven that you can lose weight fast on those things, if you STARVE yourself. HOWEVER, you will only gain it back once you quit the diet. Unless you want to stay on that pill FOREVER, then I suggest you just adopt a healthier lifestyle. DONT EVER tell yourself that you're on a diet!!

I thought about slimquick and decided to go with hydroxycut instead. I will tell you I felt horrible all the time. Now of course I haven't tried slimquick so it could be different but after feeling so bad on hydroxycut I decide to go back to just sticking with weight watchers and going to the gym. My hubby and I are now working together to get our weight down and playing raquette ball a couple times per week which is super fun. My best advice is to find something that you enjoy for excercise and system that will cause you to lose around 2lbs per week. Best wishes whatever you decide!! :)

I have used Slim Fast and it really works and is so easy and I also buy breakfast bars and keep 1 in my purse and if you get hungry that is so much better than junk food and will hold you over until the next drink.

I tried slimquick and didn't seem to have much success. I found this new weight loss patch and seeing great results. I even became a distributor. It's all natural. You lose weight while maintaining your muscle mass and even increasing your muscle mass plus it helps you sleep and gives you energy. You put one on and wear for 24 hours, you can wear in the shower as well. At the end of the 24 hours you take it off and put a new on. I listed my website if you'd like to check it out in more detail or feel free to give me a call and I can tell you more about it. Don't worry I'm not a pushy salesman and I'm not going to be upset if your not interested. I've seen great results and like a good movie you tend to tell everyone about it.

I used hydroxycut. Six pills a day for about a month. Expensive but I lost 10 lbs the first two weeks and have kept it off. That was with no exercise. I stopped taking it because I got heartburn real bad at the end for 2 days straight. I stopped losing weight by then anyways. I've drank redline too. Too much of that made me sick. Its the way it suppresses the appetite that made my stomach out of wack on produing the right fluids. Everybody has a different body though you may not get the same reaction. Hydroxycut didn't do anything for my boyfriend.
