My aunt is having a halloween party for my grandfathers birthday. I was wondering if any moms had some cute treat ideas? Nothing too elaborate... i have 4 kids and it is a very hectic time of year...as you all know :) It can be either an appetizer or a dessert as long as it is halloweeny. Thank you all so much! I cannot seem to get my creative juices flowing at moment :(

What can I do next?

I'm not great with the creative things, but this treat is great to take along and put on a side table for nibbling.

Mix equal parts candy corn and peanuts in a dish. When you eat them together it tastes like a nut roll.

It is so simple and yet is a great sweet treat.

If you want a super easy dessert you could buy a Pillsbury Halloween cake mix and Halloween frosting. Each has Halloween-colored sprinkles to add to the batter/frosting. Not very creative but quick, easy and festive.

How about making "dirt" in a cake pan and putting Halloween shaped cookies/candy on top to make it look like a graveyard?

You could make a snack mix with Halloween M&M's, cereal, raisins, etc.

Smore's brownies - - recipe can be found on side of Duncan Hines brownie mix. Make the day before so graham crackers can soften. They're a hit everytime I make them.

This is EASY! And CUTE!
Get a pack (or two) of pre-made chic chip cookie dough. Press into a circle/pizza shape. While slightly warm, spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the top. Drizzle with fall m&M's, gummy worms, candy corn, etc. Then make a white icing "cobweb over it all. It is really different and very good. Have fun!

The official recipe can probably by found on the Kraft website, but you really can't mess this up in any way.

***FOUND IT!*** This O. uses sugar cookie douhg, but I used chocolate chip dough and peanut fall M&M's...

This is a little time consuming, but very cute if you are displaying it. Buy everyone their own mini pumpkin. Cut the tops off & save. Scoop out the insides. Fill them with something. Ex. Ice cream (pumpkin flavor if you can find it), or candy. Put the tops back on. You could even put some cake batter inside and bake it as personal cupcakes.

Dirt and worms seems kid of halloween appropriate. I mix equal parts chocolate pudding and cool whip and layer this with crushed oreo's- if you put the oreo's in the blender it looks just like dirt. A layer of dirt, a layer of pudding, then a layer of dirt with some gummy worms on top. I do it in the small clear plastic cups. One box of pudding, container of cool whip and box of oreo's makes about 12 -18 servings.

I make PB&J sandwiches and sandwiches w/cucumber and cream cheese. I take Halloween cookie cutters and let the kids cut out shapes in the sandwiches. Appetizer!
