I'm throwing a Halloween party for my son & a bunch of his friends. I've pretty much got food figured out. But, I'm hoping some of you might have a punch recipe to share with me. I've never done a punch before, and would love to hear any recipes or suggestions you might have that you'd be willing to share with me.
Thanks in advance!
J.

Last year, we put 1 two liter bottle of chilled ginger ale in a punch bowl and floated scoops of lime sherbert on top. The kids loved it. It was all green and gooey looking.

Love the hand mold ideas!

Hi J. -

FYI - to make "hands" in the punch - use kitchen gloves or large <NEW> rubber gloves - fill with punch juice or water and freeze - the kids LOVE seeing the hands floating around. We make spooky punch - with floating clouds and hands.......We use the simple "red" juice <hi-c>, some 7 up <50/50> with rainbow sherbert icecream. GREAT for all ages.
Good Luck.

We made swamp punch. Green HI-C, ginger ale, and lemon lime soda - any brands. I borrowed a hand mold from a friend she bought at the party store and filled it with cranberry juice froze it and then put it in the punch. It was a big hit.

GREEN GOBLIN PUNCH

1 gallon, pre-made Green Hawaiian Punch
one.. 2 liter bottle either 7-up or Ginger ale
1 small container of lime or rainbow sherbet
(rainbow sherbet makes it more of a funky color but the taste is better than just the lime)
Ice ring (water w/ some worms, add a little green food coloring and
freeze in a jello mold ring or bundt cake pan)
Clear glasses
Gummy worms

Dump Green Hawaiian punch, 7- up (to taste)-I like a little more Hawaiian punch, add sherbet & ice ring. Serve w/ one worm dangled over side of clear glass. Enjoy!

Dear J., I just wanted to tell you a cute idea for your punch. I had halloween party a couple of years ago and just used Hawian Punch. However, what I did which turned out pretty cool was got a clean Latex glove and just filled it with water, not all of the way. Keep enough space so you can tie it. Then put it in your freezer, somewhat on an angle. Put whatever punch you are going to use in a punch bowl and you will have a nice frozen hand to keep the punch cold. You can use food coloring as well to color the frozen hand if you like. It works out well. Good Luck!!
