Halloween Costume Ideas for 4 Girls

I'm looking for ideas for my 4 daughters, ages 1 to 5. Either some inexpensive costumes to purchase or some EASY ones to make. I can't sew & I've never used a hot glue gun so it has to be dummy-proof. I was hoping for things that go together -- Disney princesses, bugs, Little Bo Peep & her sheep, etc. Any ideas on how to make this happen?

Thanks!!

what about scarecrows? You could do a resale shop like St. Vincent's or just use old clothes - and I've seen people use raffia instead of hay so it's not so itchy.

They could be princesses in their own fancy dresses (if they have them, if not, see the resale stores!) or dolls, you could paint pink circles on their cheeks and put their hair in ringlet curls.

Have fun with it!!

What about rock stars? They have a lot of fun glittery makeup in stores and the girls could wear their funkiest clothes. You can make arm socks out of old socks, just cut the toe off and cut a hole for the thumb. You can buy an inflatable guitar and they have inflatable microphones or plastic ones at Target.

Another idea is cheerleaders. Take a white tee shirt and cut a megaphone out of sticky felt (you can find felt at Michaels that has a sticky back) and stick it on the tee shirt. Add any kind of pleated skirt, pigtails and pompons. Voila, a cheer team!

How about making them into crayola crayons. Take them to a second hand store and buy some bright primary colored pillowcases. you should be able to find them for a buck or two each. then with black marker or the stick on felt you can write the crayola thing. the pointed hats would be easy. just get the disposable oil funnels and let the girls color them whatever color they want to be. have fun

Fairies are fun and easy, just glitter up old dresses from home or the thrift store and cut the hems and sleeves to make the edges jagged, then make or buy a wand and wings. You can put fake flowers in their hair and pin them to their dresses and add ribbons to their dresses, legs and shoes for embellishments.
I would buy the wings (sometimes the dollar store has inexpensive ones) And I got my daughter a beautiful pair for $5 at H&M at the Fox Valley Mall a year ago (oh I mean the Westfield Mall).

You can probably get everything for all four for about $12-$15 each. (Maybe less if you already have dresses and flowers and ribbons).
