Yea, so I know it's still a little early, but I wanted to get a head start this year since I always seem to wait until the last minute. I have already picked out my daughters costume, she is 3 and will be a fairy. I am trying to think of what to have my son dressed as that goes with fairies. He will be 5 1/2 months this Halloween. Any ideas are welcome. I just hope the weather this Halloween is as awesome as it was last year.

What can I do next?

How about Peter Pan. Using green sweat pants instead of tights. You could then just cut the bottom of a sweatshirt to make the top as well. Then make spats to cover his shoes. SO you could make the whole thing out of 2 sweatshirts and the pants.
I always start shopping for costumes early. I hit the resale stores and get flower girl dresses for about 8.00.

Check out CostumeExpress.com They have tons of ideas for all ages, including garden gnomes or a woodland creature?. I've also seen a baby costume of a toadstool, but can't remember where. If you like that idea you could always dress him in white with a read hat and white spots.

Good luck!

Last Halloween I had my 4 1/2 yr old daughter dressed as a fairy and her baby brother (only a couple weeks old) dressed as a pea pod. It wasn't planned, but everyone kept saying, "Oh how cute. It's the princess and the pea"
Just an idea.

I think a TOOTH would be hilarious! Other than that...probably something like a mushroom, or an elf, or a gnome.

Have Fun!

Pirates and fairies is a cute theme. Or a bug...

My son was a frog at 6 mos...it is still one of my favorite pictures ever.

Hooray! I love Halloween! I, too, have been thinking about and planning my kids' costumes for this year. Check out Family Fun magazine from last October-- there was an ADORABLE gnome costume featured in it. Otherwise, you could just check out any garden gnome statue for ideas. You don't even have to use the white beard, you could just put a red hat on him and the appropriate shirt and pants.
Best wishes!
