Haircuts in Royal Oak

I live in Royal Oak and there are so many salons downtown but I don't go to any of them because I haven't heard of where to go and who to go to! My stylist is leaving and I need someone new so I would love some ideas from people! I'm also hoping to find someone who doesn't charge an arm and a leg!

What can I do next?

My son is 15 months old, and she cuts his hair too (he has had three hair cuts so far). Everyone is completely friendly and paitient. For his first cut they took pictures for me and collected the first clippings.

I use Annette's Salon on Woodward N. Of 13 Mile they've been around for as long as I can remember & have gone from a small 1 story to a 2 story facility! The people are wonderful there, I use Rita for my own cuts.
Good luck!

Hi,

I use to drive to b-ham and RO for haircuts. But a lady opened up a salon in her basement in my sub and I get haircut/highlights and brow wax for $67 and she does a FANTASTIC AWESOME job. I do miss sometimes going to an actual salon, but the money I save is way worth it. If you interested send me a private message through this site and I'll get you her info.

Good Luck,
J. in Macomb

I live in Berkley but go to a place in Birmingham. It's called Bharda salon and Peggy does my cuts and highlights. She does an AWESOME job. It's a bit on the pricey side (in my opinion) for haircuts ($60 for a cut and blowout) but in comparison, highlights and a haircut are reasonable ($125 for the two services plus a blowout - still expensive but not as expensive as I would have thought considering the price of a cut alone). I've never been the type to be able to tell a stylist what I'm looking for and Peggy is awesome at making great suggestions to me for new styles and colors to try. She's also very talented for knowing which cuts will work for your hair type (for example, my hair is very fine but there is a lot of it - she also does a great job with some clients I know that have very fine and thinner hair and have had difficulty finding a good style in the past). Bharda is located just east of Woodward, just south of Maple. It's on a street called Haynes which is just before you get to Borders off of Woodward).

I would recommend Kim @ Hair Apparent in downtown Royal Oak. I have been going to her for years and always happy and receive lots of compliments. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck.
