I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I need a hair stylist who has experience with this type of hair. I live out in Stone Oak and I don't mind driving, if the stylist is good. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

I have a really good friend that is African-American and does really well with curly hair. She's awesome. She even does my hair and it's super straight. Here's her info...

My hair stylist has naturally curly hair- It actually looks like she has a perm. She is at TGF Haircutters at 1604 and 281 in the strip with HEB. Her name is Sharon.

I have very curly and wavy hair. And I have cowlick on one side and a witch's peak off center.

I go to Priscilla at Yardley's Salon and Spa. It is not cheap, but she gives the best haircuts for curly hair I've ever had. She knew exactly what she needed to do before I even told her I had those weird hair issues! And I've been butchered MANY times.
I spread out my visits and go every 2 or 3 months, due to the cost. Many times, I don't have her dry and style it---I go home and do that to save the money...but the haircuts are excellent.

She never tries anything without talking to me first. I hate when stylists love to play in your hair and leave you with something you didn't want!

I really like Karen at Alegria. They are in the shopping center at Heubner & Blanco next to the sushi restaraunt and the mailing/shipping place. Sorry I don't know the name of the shopping center.

I have curly hair and LOVE the person who has been doing mine for the past 3 years. Her name is LaShawnda and she is co-owner of the Dawn Rhodes salon. She is really affordable ($15 per cut) and AWESOME coloring too. She also cuts my husbands hair and pretends to cut my two year old daughter's hair. She has a little table set up for the kids to color and it is very family oriented. I have searched for years to find someone who knows what they are doing with curly hair and am soooo happy to have found her. Her number is ###-###-####. I hope you will give her a try, and tell her C. sent you.

I have long, very curly hair. Stephen Gonzalez at Hair Review does a great job with color and cutting and he's cheaper than the high end salons. He's just great. I get waxing done by the ladies there too, and they are better cheaper and gentler than other places

They are at NW Military, just North of Lockhill Selma next to the Ace Hardware.
