Can anyone recommend a good stylist near West Lake Worth / Wellington area / West Boynton area? I need a good cut and color, but am new to the area and have no idea who to try.

Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it. I have had some bad experiences with trying new salons, so this will make things much easier for me! I'm all about less-stress!!!

L.,

I went through the same thing last year. For 2 1/2 years I was driving from Boynton to Ft. Lauderdale b/c I was scared to try a new salon. A few ladies here recommended Posh Salon and Spa and I have been beyond thrilled with the results. 2 of my neighbors go there as well. We all go to different stylist and I think they are all very good. I go to Karen Papetti. She gives a great cut, awesome highlights and low lights and honest advice.

Hope that helps!

I use Head First Hair Design in Boynton Beach (West Boynton) Michelle is great with color and haircuts. LeChalet and Military Trail. I'd be happy to give directions, just let me know.

Not sure if you found someone yet, I used to go to Karlene at the Hair Cuttery by my house on Hypoluxo but she moved to the JcPenney Salon at the Wellington Mall. She always did a great job. Now I go to the haircuttery in Boca at Shadowood on Glades and use Lorraine(she has an english accent?) She is awesome!

Hi L.

Absolutely I was in the same situation and was recommended to Ginger at Todays Trends in Greenacres on Jog and she is absolutely amazing. She does my cut and color and will not disappoint. The number for the salon is ###-###-####

Hello L., a couple of my friends have used HotHeads it is on Congress in the new plaza in Boynton Beach, used to be next to the old Target on Congress/Gateway. Posh Salon is also nice I have gotten my nails done there but not hair. I go to the Festival Flea Market, it is in Pompano Beach and the salon is called Tango. Sorry could not be of more help. I have a 2 yr old little boy and a 9 month old girl, wondered if you wanted to get together when your 6 yr old goes back to school?

Welcome to South Florida. I've lived in West Boynton since 2001. I go to POSH SALON & SPA on Gateway and Congress. I get really phenomenal cuts and colorings. I see Kathy, but everybody there is wonderful. ###-###-####

I highly recommend PURYE ("pure") It is an AVEDA salon in Wellington on Forest hill Bldv west of 441. They have an affortable price range for everyone. Feel free to stop by anytime to visit, see and speak to someone first, they welcome that. It is all natural and the quiet shampoo massage is the best.

I know this might not be as close as you would like, given the age of your babies, but, I have been going to ELAN Salon for over 5 years. They are located at Boynton Beach Blvd @ Congress in the Office Depot plaza. John Nero is the owner and the best stylist I have ever had. He and his staff is caring, compassionate, and do phenomenal work. His work number is ###-###-####. You can talk to John, Alison or Amy, their prices are very reasonable. Good Luck.

YES!!!! I go to PYURE salon in Wellington...very close to the Mall, in the Fresh Market plaza. It is super zen. They use all natural Aveda products...and treat you like royalty. You are served delicious tea, or wine. If you get a color process done you get a great warm foot bath while you wait. The shampoo is insane. You get a full scalp and neck massage, and then a warm aromatherapy towel is placed on your face while they massage your hands and arms...all while listening to earthy and relaxing music. I see Lyndsay there, for cuts, and she is great. I use Stephanie for color. My girlfriend struggled with her hair for years..and I got her to go there.. and now her hair is awesome! It is not just a "hair salon", it is a full sensory experience. I don't get out of the house "alone" too often, so when I do, I want it to count..and I feel beautiful and relaxed EVERY time I leave there! Their # is ###-###-####. A normal cut is $55.00.

I go to Nelson at Mia Bella Hair Salon. Their address and telephone are:
3940 10th Avenue North
Lake Worth
###-###-####
The parking is in the back of the building.

The prices are very reasonable. Also if you do not like Nelson (which I cannot imagine!) there are other hairstylists available.

I hope you like them.
