I am wondering if anybody out there has any good information on hair weaves/extensions..I am curious about them. I have been thinking of getting them, I have short hair, and would love my long hair back...I just don't know ANYTHING about them, never gotten them before and really don't know anybody personally who has..If anybody can help, it would be much appreciated...Thanks

I would suggest you use the best quality Remy hair extensions and that too from http://www.ludischarminginstinct.com as they are available in a wide range of colors and are reasonable also.

Hey A.,

You should always go with human hair 'cause to me it just looks better. Human hair is more expensive than the synthetic hair. If you want to experiment first before going to a salon try Sam Moon on Harry Hines they have the extension clip-on ponytails, etc. These days any good salon should have a hairstylist that knows about hair extensions.

Good Luck.

I notice that you are in Denton so I wanted to recommend my hairdresser, Rhonda Serna who is also in Denton. She does extensions so I'm sure she could give you a free consult just to get info. I don't have them but I've seen the photo album she keeps of other customers that do and they all looked very nice. I know that they are very expensive, though, she's told me that they can charge $1000+ for certain styles or lengths plus they can take all day to do, too. Anyway, her number is ###-###-#### if you're interested in calling her for some info.

Hi, there! I have worn hair weaves (for volume) for years, due to the texture of my hair being very thin and fine. I have had good ones and bad ones, but I simlpy LOVE the girl who does my hair now!!! Her name is MaryAnn and she is a great person and true professional! She specializes in all types of braids, weaves and extensions and her prices are very reasonable! Email her at ____@____.com and she would be more than happy to discuss different techniques and schedule an in-home consultation at your convenience!

I have human hair extensions in my hair. They are Great Lengths brand and they are bonded (not glued) onto your hair. I have been getting these put in my hair for about 5 years now...you could say, I am totally addicted. My hair looks pretty great (for the most part) on even a bad hair day. I have an amazing hair lady that does them for me and her name is Sandy at the Hair Xperts in Plano. Her number is ###-###-####. I must warn you though, they look absolutely fabulous but they are pricey. I do know Sandy has several different hair extensions to choose from as well as clip on pieces. Email me if you have any more questions!

Contact Sheerese Hair & Beauty. She is located in Arlington. She is also a celebrity hairstylist. She has done lots & lots of singers. I personally do not have hair extensions but I have seen her work. Women fly in just to have their hair done by her. Her phone number is on www.shereese.com .

My step-daughter has experimented with these. I would strongly recommend against the glue in kind. Those totally destroyed her hair.

She has found clip in kind. They are synthetic and look real. If you take really good care of them they last 3-4 months. They do get a bit ratty as the day goes on, but steaming them seems to help. She investigated these online. Jessica Simpson, I think, has a brand of these on the market.
