My husband work about 8-10 hours a day and by the time he het's home it's supper baths family timwe and then BED! SO i was looking for advice on differnet diets that work or workouts at home that maybe i could do with my girls or in between naps? I'm open to try anything thanks

I have a son who just turned 9 months and I am also looking for quick weightloss ideas. For the last couple of months, I have been doing salads for lunch and I try to run on the treadmill a couple of times a week. I only gained 27 pounds with my pregnancy and had lost all of the baby weight 3 weeks after having my son but than I went back to work and gained about 14 pounds and now I am stuck. Know you are not alone...it is hard to lose it. Good luck!!

D.,
My advice to you is to double check w/your OB/GYN on your diet. One of the most popular items your doctor will suggest to you is salad. The other is fiber intake. Some OB/GYNs suggest that patients continue to take their prenatal vitamins up to a year after the child's birth; so don't be surprised if your OB/GYN makes this suggestion to you. Walking is a great way to trim down, along w/salad, but your doctor is always the best person to start w/.

Hey! id try going out at nights or possibly early morning runs or walks. im 24 with a 5 year old daughter, and im not trying to work off the baby weight im toning that baby pouch that just comes back every winter! lol.. bt i also noticed that after working all day comming home and doing the "night routines" of studies, dinner, bath and bed.. that the only time i have for myself is at night. bt of course me being lazy and tired i prefer to run in the morning. so long story short.. im now getting up in the am an hour early to go jogging before the day starts. oh! and see if you have any friends that want to loose the weight too~ its easier to work out with someone with ya. if your in boston~ hit me up! ill tone with ya!

I hear ya! I gained 53 with my second and now I'm back down to less than I was before I got pregnant. I took the weight off by following the Weight Watchers diet. It works wonders for me, I am a picky eater so I can eat all my favorites. It teaches you portion control. You don't even have to go to a Weight Watchers, you can sign up to do it online, right from home. I also walked or did the Biggest Loser workout video. This video is great because the workouts are 20 minutes long! Perfect for a mom. By the time the workout was over the kids would be crawling up my legs, but at least I fit one in and my son loves jumping around and trying to follow along with me. I should also mention it took me twice as long to lose the baby weight from the second than the first.

www.vitalityforlife.com is a great tool to use to monitor your diet, and determine the most effective meal plan that will maximize your health. It's like weightwatchers.com on steroids. :-) I've used both. Plus, it's only $6/month if you are a member.

Hi D., me too Girlfriend. When I cut back on my carbs, sooo hard, I lost weight. And Yoga is great for toning and relaxation. Give yourself some time, I know it's hard because summer is right around the corner, but think of what your body has gone through. My daughter is 18 mths old and I'm just rejoining a gym that I used to go to 5 days a week before I was prego. You'll lose some more with the nicer weather here. Try the carb. thing though, you'll be amazed of how much weight carbs put on your body. Good luck to both of us. : )
