I'm not sure where in Chicago you're located but Flying High (I think it's in Countryside) is awesome! We have numerous friends who live on the South Side and they take their kids there because it's so easy to get to. My son is also 3.5 and he has a great time in his class on Saturday mornings.

I use to take my 2yr old to THe Little Gym which is gymnastics based. A great program and my daughter LOVED it!

Yes. Both MyGym and Little Gym offer classes. We prefer MyGym (the teachers were out of this world good) and at this age/level it was more about coordination, fun, and creative play with a splash of gymnastics. If you want serious gymnastics try Skyline...

Peterson Park Gymnastics Center is excellent! It's off of Pulaski and Peterson in the North Park Nature Center. It's part of the Chicago Park District, so it's not expensive ($47) in comparison to other full sized gymnastics centers. My son loves it, and they really get a lot of energy out while in class. It's not just a tumbling class because they have a full olympic gymnastics setup with all the equiptment and tons of padding.

I highly recommend the Peterson Park Gymnastics Center as well. You just mentioned Chicago, not where. I'm pretty sure there is another facility on the South side as well. Check the link below for the park district. The most important thing for you is probably that they have weekend and a couple classes after 5pm. The thing to caution is that these classes book fairly quickly, so you have to be there the day of registration online or later on the in-person registration date.

Check with the park district- www.chicagoparkdistrict.com
We've been doing that for years, and it's easy on the budget :)
