I'm looking for a gymnastics class for my 2.5 yr old daughter around/near West L.A. I'd prefer not to have to drive too far.

What can I do next?

Try the YWCA in Santa Monica (on 17th & Pico). My 5 year old daughter used to take gymnastic classes there & she loved the classes.

Try Kidnastics in West LA or Santa Monica, it's right on the border. They do an amazing job with kids that age.

I have been an instructor/coach at Junior Gym (School of Gymnastics)
for several years. It's 5,000 sq. ft. all apparatus equipment (bars, beam, rings, floor, trampoline) classes for all ages are welcome. It's recreational gymnastics, teaches the kids motor skills, hand-eye coordination, social skills, and much more. Check out the website www.juniorgymla.net

Hi C.,
There is a kids gym on Santa Monica Bl. and Centinela called MY GYM. My son went there recently and actually my brother and I went there as children at a different location. So, they have been around for a long time and the instructors are great and it is not too expensive.

If you are looking for a more formal intro to gymnastics, Broadway Gymnastics is great. If formal gymnastics is not so important, then you should check out Dave Rabb Children's Fitness Center in Culver City (on Washington near Overland). I take my daughter to Dave Rabb, and I can't recommend him highly enough. Here is a link to his web site: http://www.daverabbkidsfitness.com/

Also, most places (Broadway and Dave Rabb included) will let you come for a free trial class.
