Its time to start working off some of this baby weight! Can any one recommend a good sports bra for a nursing mom? I used to be barely an A cup and now I'm trying to work out with these D cups and it's not exacty comfortable. When I think of all that time I spend wishing for a larger chest and now that I've got it, it only gets in the way!

What can I do next?

I have this one http://www.mothersboutique.com/llhiimpuspnu.html It's a La Leche nursing sports bra. I love it. Means I don't have to change bras if I need to nurse during a workout.

Judy, who owns A Mother's Boutique is a friend of mine. She's in Wexford PA, so if you are anywhere close you can go see her for a custom fitting.

Welcome to my world! My husband just doesn't get why I would ever want something smaller than the D cup I was blessed with. I didn't do much working out while I was nursing, so I don't know of a good nursing sports bra for a D cup, but as far as a regular sports bra, I like the Champion ones that are designed for larger cup sizes. I get most of my bras from onehanesplace.com and these are the ones they have available:
Champion Double Dry® Seamless UW Sports Bra, Champion Powersleek Bra, Champion Jogbra Action-Shape Sports Bra

Good Luck!

La Leche League has a line of nursing bras which can be purchased online. I believe they have a nursing sports bra.
Other than that, I have fallen inlove with Soma Intimates bras! They have sports bras too. (I am a DDD & they have ones that fit me!)

My only caution to you is that you obviously need a supportive one but you should NOT be wearing one when you are not exercising since the compression can cause clogged ducts and/or decreased milk supply. But wearing it during exercise is perfectly fine!

The only nursing bra I use now is the Majamas Easy Bra! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It fits a lot like a sports bra. Check them out online. I got mine at diapers.com.

I'm sorry, because I know what you are going thru, but I really had to laugh, because I DO know what you are going thru. I went from barely a B cup to a DD(OMG!!!) with my son. Now 2.5 years later I'm still a C (that I can deal with). When they popped out that big by around 20 weeks gestation all I could think was, "What the HELL am I supposed to do with THESE things?!?"

But enough with the co-miserating. I found a supportive, but not tight, sports bra at JCPenny's that zippers in the front (helped when DS wanted to nurse right before or right after I worked out). Whatever you get make sure it is not too tight because that may lead to clogged ducts and masticis.

I do wear a D so you do need a good sports bra. I like the champion bras. All you need to know the proper back size since they do not go by cup sizes. normally on the tag it will say fits cup saize A to whatever. Good luck.

My" girls" were large to begin with! But I heard that you have to really strap those suckers back when you exercise because high impact can affect your breast milk. I go to a Stroller Strides workout so the baby is part of my excercise routine and I needed a nursing sports bra. I got mine from Motherhood Maternity. I quickly found out that one bra wasn't enough. Several of the moms in my Stroller Strides group told me that when they were nursing, they had to wear 2 sports bras.

So I wear 2 nursing sports bras that I got from Motherhood Maternity. They have a few different styles and I pick the most comfortable ones. I really like them and even wear them individually during the day sometimes because they are that comfortable!
