Good Snow Suit and Boots for a Toddler

Good afternoon moms,

I just wanted to ask for suggestions on good brands of snow suits and boots for an active 2 year old girl. I have heard of some brands of snow suits that have "growth room" or "grow technology", but I am not sure what brands to look for and/or the most durable. I would like to purchase something that might last more than one season if possible. Thank you for any suggestions.

What can I do next?

The best deal I've found for boots is at Target. We've had the Champion boots for two winters, and they last much longer than they fit :) I'm assuming that they have styles for girls, but if I had a daughter, I'd put her in the boy styles if I had to . . .

Purchase Lands End or L.L. Bean. They are amazing for clothes and especially outter wear. I especially love the fact that you can get girls clothes that do not make "little" ones look like whores.
Good Luck.

I don't know if you get more snow in Pittsburgh than we do in Philly... but for the 1 or 2 times a year they get to wear snow pants and boots... the ones from target work fine for my girls! haha! It's only $12 for snowpants. I also check out the consignment store.

I have not heard about this particular "grow technology", but LL Bean makes great products that I've easily gotten two seasons wear. I even got three seasons out of snow pants which, as they got a little shorter were not an issue because of snow boot coverage. Good Luck!

I like Land's End, and my kids have had several of their coats, but I think Hanna Andersson are the best, both in terms of style and quality, and because the Hanna coats always fit them for two winters. They are a little pricey, even on ebay, but I think they are worth it.

I LOVE LLBean stuff! It can be a bit pricey, but you can often find used ones on Ebay or even on www.llbean.com on clearance.
The sleeves of the jackets & legs of the snowpants have a little extra stitching that can be snipped to allow them to "grow" by about an inch or so. My kids usually get 2 seasons out of them. They are VERY well made, have a good re-sale value & most importantly, keep my munchkins nice & toasty warm, so they're worth the money to me.
(Just FYI--they tend to be cut a tiny bit big. My kids are very small, but my son, who usually wears a 24 mo, is wearing a 12-18 mo jacket & my daughter, who wears a 5/6 wears a 4T in their stuff).

Good luck!
