Does anyone know any good preschools in the Beaverton area? We are looking mostly at Montessori. We did find one we really liked and our considering but would like some feedback. What is the average price?

Thanks!

Hi, our three and a half year old has been going to the Sunshine Montessori preschool on Murray Blvd for about a month now, and we are really happy with the learning environment, as well as the caring attitude of the staff. We pay $175 per week, but that is for a half day of preschool/ half day of childcare. I ran into my daughter's elementary school psychologist dropping her child off there one morning and she sang the school's praises (more positive reinforcement for my own observations!). We checked out everything in the area and found this one to be the best.

Good luck to you, it is an important decision.

Hi C.
I have 3 children who have all gone through West Hills Montessori (1 has graduated and entered public 1st grade and 2 others are still there) - it is located in SW Portland, but draws a lot of Beaverton families as well.
It is a FANTASTIC school and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
Good luck

My 4 yo daughter has been attending Aloha Christian Preschool, and doing very well. It is about $135.00 per month. I have looked into the Montessori schools, and got good feedback on the Fruit Farm Montessori preschool, however they were over $500 per mo. When they are only there about 15 hours a week, many of them are wayyy over priced!!
Good luck with your search!

My son has been at Creative Children's Center on 185th for the last 2 years. This is a parent coop school so there is a lot of parent involvement which I really like being a part of the learning process. Next year I will have my daughter there too. The teachers are great, the school uses the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, and the other parents are fun to get to know also! Their website is http://www.creativechildrenscenter.com/ if you want to check them out. My current tuition for 3 afternoons a week is $160/month- with helping in the classroom 2 times in the month.

My daughter attends Happy Hollow Dayschool. I believe it is 2 1/2 to 12, with a private all day kindergarten. I love it there, as does she. They are located on SW 99th Ave in Beaverton. Although it is a school it is very home like and also a certified Eco-friendly school and is turning to all organic. The teachers are wonderful and the owner is very nice and caring also. Hope this helps.
