Good Pediatrician Recommendations?

Hello,
I'm currently looking for a good pediatrician near Framingham and am wondering if any of you would be willing to share the name of one you really like and why you like him/her. I've been given the names of Dr. Alan Lobovitis in Framingham and Dr. Zoe Fishman in Natick. Does anyone recommend either of these two doctors? It would be nice if the pediatrician is affiliated with Newton-Wellesley Hospital, since that is where I plan to have my second child due in September, but if someone recommends a Dr. who is truly fabulous and with a different hospital, I'm open to that. Thanks so much for your help!

I LOVE Zoe! And she is affilated (as are the other Doctors in her practice at Charles River Pediatrics) with Newton Wellesley hospital. I delivered my daughter (who's now a little over 3 yrs old) there and we've been seeing Dr. Fishman ever since (we'd met w/a few Docs prior to delivery, to see who we "clicked" with best - and it was her, without a doubt). She is absolutely fabulous - I cannot say enough about her...I've called her a "lifesaver" on more than one occassion. She's very experienced - I think 10-12 years in practice - and has two young sons of her own (I think around 2 and 6, or so). She is very responsive to phone calls (same day) and whenever we've followed her guidance, we've never gone wrong. If you're Type A (or appreciate a Type A physician), she's the best! Good luck!

I recommend Susan D. Reuter, M.D. from Pediatrics at Newton Wellesley. http://www.pediatricsatnewtonwellesley.com/index.htm

I have a six year old and a 9 month old and Dr. Reuter has taken very good care of both of them. I like the whole practice. I've met several of the doctors. The NPs are great as well. They offer weekend hours and I always feel that I can call at any time.
Good Luck!

Hi K.,

We use Framingham Pediatrics for my 16 month old son. Dr. Crawford is his pedi (we started with her right as she came back from maternity leave). She's fantastic. I've talked to a handful of the other drs. for emergencies (once when we were out of the country) and they've all been great. Nurses and front desk staff are always pleasant to talk to as well. Good luck with your decision!

I second Dr Crawford at Framingham Pediatrics! She is wonderful and responsive to me as a parent, and just so gentle and caring with my daughter. We've seen a few of the other docs in that office as well, Dr Hicks, Dr Whitman--all were very nice. I've had to call at night, weekends, always very accommodating. I am so glad we found her.

Hi K.,

I do recommend Dr. Zoe Singer Fishman. She belongs to Charles river pediatrics and has been my son's pediatrician (My son is 3 too and I am expecting my second child by Sept '09) Dr. Zoe is wonderful, willing to listen and will see paitients on an emergency basis. She has 2 sons herself and is funny/quick witted. The only thing is she is getting many new paitients and is thus pretty busy..so and you might want to check to see if she is still accepting new kids. Also, I believe she is affliated to Newton Wellesley but you might want to check on that again.
Good luck with your choice!
Thanks,
RJ

I love Dr. Rosselot at Framingham Pediatrics. Actually, all the drs (except one) are great. They are very accessible, with a call hour between 8.30-9 every weekday morning so you can reach a dr with a question. They stay in the evening until every appointment is taken care of, they are open 365 days/year for emergencies, and actual doctors (rather than a nurse service) are on call in the evening. They have a website that you can check out if you're interested. We started with Dr. Crawford, who has five children herself, and then switched to Dr. Rosselot because Dr. Crawford was out on a longish maternity leave right when my son was born. They're affiliated with Metrowest Medical in Framingham. Just FYI, I had both my kids at Beth Israel, and it was no problem at all having them seen by the staff pediatrician and then bringing them into our regular doctor about 3 days after we got home. I actually waited until then to do the hep B shot anyway.

Good luck with the second one!

My son sees Dr. Yoon at Charles River Pediatrics and we really like him. Dr. Fishman came to the hospital (Newton-Wellesley) when he was delivered and she was great too! I love the practice. I've never had trouble getting in to see them even on a weekend.

Dr. Fishman is our pediatrician and we cannot recommend her enough. She is wonderful and gives great personal care. I was a very nervous first time mom and she was so good at calming my fears and still being incredibly thorough. I have recommended her to all of my friends.

Hi K.,
we also live in Framingham, and we see Dr. Stacy Maslow, who is in the same practice as Dr. Lobovits. We have seen him on occasion when Dr. Maslow is out, and he is lovely. We love that practice and think everyone there is terrific. (I couldn't use Dr. Lobovitz as one of my good friends is one of his nurses, and she won't give shots to kids she socializes with!). They have meet the Dr. nights, if I remember correctly. We also interviewed Dr. Jeffry Zareff and he was great too.

Feel free to contact me if you want more info - I think they have been great and we are very happy there!
My daughter just turned 3 in May, and I have a 7 week old baby!

(Do you know about the Moms club of Framingham? Good resource for SAHM!).

Warmly,
E.
